Shayol Ghul

Shayol Ghul is the center of evil in Randland. In truth, it is no closer to the Bore than the rest of the world, but the Dark One's presence is felt more there. All around Shayol Ghul is the Blight, the destroyed land that has been tainted by the Dark One's touch. Close to Shayol Ghul is Thakan'dar, where the weapons of Trollocs, Myydraal, and other Shadowspawn are made. Inside Shayol Ghul is the Pit of Doom, where the Dark One's presence is most powerful. This is where the Forsaken hade been trapped since the Age of Legends. Shayol Ghul is also the place in the prophecys that says Rand will spinkle his blood there.
