Is Taim Demandred?
I personally think that Taim is Demandred. All evidence points to it. First, in Lord of Chaos, the Dark One gives Demandred instructions that pertain to Rand. After that, Taim suddebly shows up in Caemlyn. Taim knows the test for saidin, which would be hard for a regular person to learn alone. Taim also knows the trick for distancing yourself from the cold and heat. When Rand didn't know how to test for saidin, Taim said,"You can Travel, but you can't test for saidin?" Rand never refered to it as Traveling. Whenever Taim is around Rand, Lews Therin Telamon rants about killing Demandred. Taim also seems to know a lot of the Old Tongue for a common Saldaean. Taim is also about 35 or 40 years old, while the taint usually kills before they reach 25, if they have been chanelling consistently. The Dark One's command was to "Let the Lord of Chaos rule." What better way than to set the Asha'man on the loose? Taim always seems to be there when Rand is in trouble, as if he were protecting him. The book also never goes to Taim's viewpoint, which would reveal his true character. Finally, at the end of LoC, the book goes to Demandred's point of view for one line, asking if he had done well. Why would the book switch to him if he didn,t play a large part in the book?
