Is Olver Gaidal Cain?
This is a great theory to discuss because it really gets into the interworkings of Randland. When Nynaneve was first talking to Birgitte in Tel'aran'rhiod, Gaidal Cain disappeared after a couple of times. Birgitte said he had been reborn back into the wheel. Now, if time worked the same way in TAR and Randland, then he would only be an infant. But Birgitte said that time worked differently. This is where the theory gets vague. How could Gaidal Cain be in Randland as a child and TAR as an adult at the same time? My only explanation for this is that TAR works like the Portal Stones. When Rand used the one, a month passed for them in a matter of moments. So then where were they during that month? The same thing as Gaidal Cain. Time works differently in both worlds so it is possible for Olver to be Cain. I side with the people that say he is.
