20 Reasons Why I Am Obsessed With Goats
Obsession Reason #1: In the movie Monty Python's Search for the Holy Grail, the Enchanter, named Tim [My real name] looks like a goat. The Enchanter was the best character in there.
Obsession Reason #2: In the book Animal Farm the goat in the story can read and lives on until about the end of the book. The goat's name is Muriel.
Obsession Reason #3: The Oakland Athletic's [ my favorite baseball team ] manager used to have goats graze on the baseball field to keep it "mowed". Smooth, huh? Thanx CyberDemon, for telling me about that. I was previously unaware.
Obsession Reason #4: Adam Sandler has a cd entitled, What the H*ll Happened to Me? There is a track called, The Goat, and although it has bad language in it, I think it is hilarious.
Obsession Reason #5: The Three Billy Goats Gruff. We've all heard the story about the three goats and the troll. I feel there is no explaination needed.
Obsession Reason #6: In our health test over the movie A Man Called Horse, one of the matching words to use was Running Goat.
Obsession Reason #7: On the movie Swiss Family Robinson, when they're towing the animals from the ship to the island, you have a close-up of two goats in barrel-halves floating in the water. It cracks me up every time.
Obsession Reason #8: On the tv show, Saturday Night Live, there are a few skits about Goatboy. It's hilariously funny, but they copied off of me...
Obsession Reason #9: Scapegoat. It's a real word! It's a noun that is generally referred to as a person or thing that is unrightfully given blame for an action or event. Pretty smooth, huh?
Obsession Reason #10: In the bible, it says that God shall separate the sheep from the goats. It is making goats seem evil, but it's still smooth.
Obsession Reason #11: In the play by Shakespeare called Macbeth the three witches are making a cauldron to see the future. One of the ingredients is gall of goat. Hehehehehe.
Obsession Reason #12: There was an episode of Andy Griffith where a goat went into town and ate some dynamite out of an explosives shed. The whole plot of the story was getting the goat out of town without blowing the place to bits. It was hilarious. I don't usually watch Andy Griffith, but my friend called me and told me about it. Obsession Reason #13: I love the word goatee. I think it's kinda funny. Hey! Don't mock me!
Obsession Reason #14: When I was growing up, my neighbor down the road had some pygmy goats fenced in in his backyard. He went on vacation for a week and asked me to feed them for him. It was awesome.
Obsession Reason #15: There's a story, but I can't remember what it's called... Anyway, it's about this Jewish family around Hanukkah time that has to sell their goat to feed the family. The boy takes the goat to the market, but a blizzard comes up and he and the goat hide in a haystack until it blows over. If the goat hadn't led the boy to the haystack, the boy would have died. So, the family kept the goat and used its milk for money to buy food. It was smooth. If I remember the title of the story, I'll put it on here.
Obsession Reason #16: Ever notice that goats and humans are the only animals that call their offsprings kids?
Obsession Reason #17: In the movie, The Hunchback of Notre Dame, there is supposedly a goat in there that's a rather humorous character. I've never seen the movie, but my friends tell me stuff that they've heard about goats.
Obsession Reason #18: On the movie called The Big Green, their mascot is a goat. That's the only reason I can stand that movie.
Obsession Reason #19: Just last weekend, I had the chance to pet a goat. I went over to a friend's birthday party sleep over, and his neighbors down the road kept goats. So, knowing how much I love goats, we walked down there. When we got there, I started bleating at the goats. They bleated back! It was smooth.
Obsession Reason #20: On Cartoon Network, they have a show called Secret Squirrel. There is an episode called VooDoo Goat. It is hilarious! It's about a goat who uses VooDoo to trap Secret Squirrel and his companion, Morocco Mole. You've got to see it to believe how funny it is for other goat lovers.
