Game Summary

The game started quickly at 3:40, or, more precisely, before 3:40 as Matt Ledgerwood discovered the bomb placed in his bag by Chris O'Toole. This caused a showdown between Ledgerwood and O'Toole at Maidstone Games. Sacred ground, and therefore inviolate, Maidstone Games meant neither player could attack the other. O'Toole assured Ledgerwood he would not attack him, and Ledgerwood left the shop. Seconds later, O'Toole confiscated a sword from dave Williamson and darted after Ledgerwood, hiding the sword beneath his tenchcoat. Williamson, seeing his opportuntity, grabbed a second sword and darted after O'Toole, his target. Keith Hill, realising that Williamson was not concealing his weapon, palmed his shuriken out of his pocket and followed Williamson. Hill foolishly utterred a battle cry as he hurled his throwing star at point blank range, allowing Williamson a reactionary strike. Both men were killed. Soon after, O'Toole caught Ledgerwood and annihilated him. Ledgerwood's last words were, reputedly, 'Bollocks!'

Soon after, having seized the late Hill's arsenal, Paul Twist chose to vanquish his own assassin, Matthew Philpott, having deduced his identity (Philpott told him). The killing took place at the back of a moving number 89 bus, with Twist strangling his victim. Thus, in under an hour the number of players was reduced to seven.

It was three days before the next death. A 'lover's tiff', it would seem, as Barney Jeffrey committed the terrible act upon his unsuspecting partner, Joe Woodcock. She was strangled and tossed into the River Medway. However, before her death, Woodcock had challenged her target, Twist, to a duel. She never made it to the duel. But then, neither did Twist, as, the next day, Woodcock struck from beyond the grave. A poisoned letter did away with Twist and his unlucky father.

Tom Brooke killed Kevin Millband, and Millband's mother, only to be strangled himself by O'Toole. O'Toole then poisoned the mouse of Jeffrey's computer, and completed the circle, becoming the only surviving assassin, by shooting Michael Russell, until this time completely ignored, in the back of the head. Russell's last words were apparently not unlike Ledgerwood's...
