Belt Mounts

These illustrations are some of the mounts found in the excavations of London.
They are taken from Medieval Finds from Excavations in London, Dress Accessories c.1150- c.1450.

11x12mm; Copper alloy; cast with single seperate rivet having a rove.

7x22mm; Copper alloy; central hole; bar is hatched horizontally; rivets missing.
307   BWB83  17   (108)  10   fig 45
12x16mm (14x6mm); gunmetal frame, bronze plate (AML); plate has holes for missing
pin and the single rivet; leather from strap 9mm wide survives, cut off close to plate.
The cut strap suggest intended reuse.
