Spear of the Sun. - 75 pts.
The spear may be aimed at any opponent on the battlefield. When the bearer cries, "Ibar", the spear flies from his hands and will accurately fly into the path of its target. When the bearer shouts "Athibar", the spear flies from the corpse back to the wielder's hands. The Spear may be aimed at any opponent no matter what on the battlefield. He may throw it during the magic phase. As it hurtles down, the opponent may jump out of the way by rolling under his initiative on a D6 (6 always fails). If it hits, the target recieves 2d6 S4 hits (the target may be a whole unit, but characters are unaffected). If it misses it comes straight back but if it hits then he must wait till the nect magic phase to recall it.
Sword of the Moon. - 75 pts.
The sword of the moon is a great, poweful sword that was used by most of the high kings. It enables the weakest of warrriors to slay hundreds of foes with. The sword increases the bearers Ws, S and A by 1.
Conchobar's Axe. - 50 points.
Conchobar's axe was the great axe used by the old King of Ulster, conchobar to kill his adulterous wife and her entire family. Because of this catastrophic event the axe is immersed with vengeance and anyone who wields it suffers hatred against every opponent, and their attacks are increased by 1.
Brainbiter - 60 points.
Brainbiter is the powerful battleaxe that the first High King Sláine used in every battle he fought in. The axe is unusual in that you do not work out the attacks in the normal way. Sláine attacks with his usual 4 attacks and then an extra d6 which automatically hit. Only Sláine may use Brainbiter.
The Amber Staff - 75 pts.
The amber staff is an ancient powerful magical staff that have passed through the Zoats for generations. The staff channels the energy of the Winds of Magic into the Zoats body. In each of the zoat's magic phases, the Zoat can draw from the power of the staff. Roll a D4 before the cards are dealt. The number is the power level of a spell that the zoat can cast for free, 4 being total power. Every time the staff is used there is a chance it could expire. Roll a D6 and on a 1 or a 2 the item is rendered useless. Only Zoats may use the staff.
Amulet of Diancecht - 30 pts.
Diancecht is the Celtic God of healing, and this amulet helps heal the body when wounded. If a fatal blow is delivered to the bearer, the amulet quickly heals the body and restores half the model's initial wounds score (rounded down).
The Gae Bolga - 45 pts.
The Gae Bolga is not an actual a magical item, but a special item that many Celtic heroes use in battle anyway. The Gae Bolga is a long sword, covered in tiny barbs. It pierces the body of an enemy and then is pulled back out, and the barbs rip out the innards of the opponent.If the bearer manages to wound his foe, then the sword is through. From then on any wounds scored against that opponent cause double damage without any save.
Dragon Jewel - 25 pts.
To the North of the Celtic islands live a race of
Dragons known as the ice dragons. They differ slightly to other dragons,
and they have large jewelled eyes. These are often taken out by Celtic
heroes when their Dragons die and they have strange magical properties.
You can use the dragon jewel once. Roll a D4 during any magic phase.
This many winds of magic cards are "stolen" from the opponent at random
and can be used by the bearer. One use only, only wizards may take this
item.
