Introduction

Introduction.

In a land not known to many in the Old World, far away from the dealings and wars of the Empire, there is a group of islands known to the people who inhabit them as Tír na nÓg, land of the young. It is here that the race known as the Celts live. The few people in the Old world that know of their existence refer to them as a savage and unruly people that thrive on war and battle and are on the whole very uncivilised. Indeed some of the countries in the Old world, most notably the realm of Bretonia (who are closest to the Celtic lands) have a bitter disgust of the celts and treat them as a lower form of life.

In fact, it is true that the celts are a very different people from the kingdoms of Bretonia and the Empire. In fact they do love war and are constantly fighting, if not against other realms around them but within themselves. The Celts are trained from a young age how to fight and enjoy the deathly pleasure of single combat against their most hated foes. The Celtic people also enjoy good food, good wine and plenty of the opposite sex. They live lives of pleasure, enjoying it as much as they can and while the other more "civilised" kingdoms of the old wolrd look down with disgust, the Celtic peoples believe they have a far more advanced form of society.

This book will show you the lives of the Celts, where they live and how they live. It will show you their extravagant feasts and the different customs of society. And more importantly than that, this book will show you how to take the Celtic armies to war, the so-called bloody and savage race that is reknowned for its prowess in battle. With Warhammer Armies: Celts, you will be undefeatable!
