why did you reviewed it:
This a new beginning for the biggest Avenger, and when it is done by JR JR, I had to do something to tell everyone how good it was.

The story

Thor has returned to Earth from the Heroes Reborn Universe, and finds out that his home, Asgard is in ruins and all the gods are missing. Thor returns to Earth and is caught up in a fight, alongside the Avengers, against the Destroyer. The Avengers and Thor all fall. As this goes on a paramedic, by the name of Jake Olsen, sacrifices his life saving bystanders. Thor ends up in Hel and situations continue (I can't give it all away!).

I love John Romita Jrs work. His Daredevil was awesome, his X-Men was incredible and his Thor is unreal. JR JR knows how to draw BIG guys, and draw them well.

Jurgens is used to writing about huge figures of superhero-ness -- he used to write Superman! The storyline was good for the two issues, ending with an excellent last page in issue 2. My only gripe is Jurgen's excessive use of Thor's god-like language. It seems too much. Thor may be an Asgardian god, but thou doth not needth to speakth god-liketh too muchth.

Jurgens has a lot of avenues for his direction for Thor, especially with Asgard in ruins. And also with Thor's new alter-ego, there is a lot of storyline to look into.

With all the Avengers back, and in their respective books, and team book, once again, Thor seems to be the book to pick up. A big character, with a HUGE creative team to boot. This is the Avengers book to read. (Note: Even as good as Busiek is -- read Astro City for his best work, not The Avengers!).
