In the large New Land south of Asian Cats and the Indonessian Reptiles, there were the oddest relatives of the Rodents to be found. Claiming themselves to be The Marsupials, these strange creatures had many adaptations fit for fighting, as well as primative Shamanistic practices.
In the New Land north of England, there were majestic Birds, large animals known as The Bears, Rodents who lived in the water, and others known as the Mapatchli, black-masked with banded tails.. Winged Rodents calling themselves Bats and a large shaman pack of Dogs, known as Coyotes.
Down below the Pride Lands of the Cats were another odd group of creatures. Claiming to be the original relatives of Man, they were not welcomed graciously into society, but soon, the Apes and Chimps of Africa became well known among the Races.
There have been romours whispered since the Dawn of Consciousness that the Insects have also evolved, but where they have founded an organized society, no one seems to know. But some say the Cats and Reptiles keep them hidden away to serve as a powerful army when they choose to strike out for power again. Until that day comes, however, the Insects are a mere myth to keep little cubs in check. |

There have been many debates regarding the lack of evolutionary progress of these creatures. Some have argued that due to their long time in enslavement to Man, they have lost the ablilty to evolve any further, having been forced into an eternal life of servitude. Others have argued the fact that their hard paws, whether cloven not, restricted their ability to evolve as a functioning party in the new world. Some others have remarked that these animals' evolutionary progesses may have been sabotaged by the other evolving races who found them to be more useful in their present state of being.
Despite the evolutionary arguments, these animals have continued their services to the Higher Creatures in the way of transportation, clothing and food.
Upon exploration past the Pride Lands of Egypt, other animals have been found confined in their original stage of life. Along these are the rhinoceros, the elephant, the giraffe, and the hippo. Most have agreed that these creatures did not evolve due to their great size and the inablity for their legs to hold their large mass erect. These animals have been left to the wilds of their current habitat, as they have lived for thousands of years.
Though once thought to be exclusive to the European, Asian and Middle Eastern countries, world-wide evolution seems to have transcended the Vast Waters and spread. We, even today, are still finding fellow brothers, sisters, cousins and creatures who found their way to the Dawn of Consciousness. |
