MET 484 ENGINEERING ECONOMICS
EET 422 POWER SYSTEMS I

SPRING 1998
MET 236 THERMAL APPLICATIONS
EET 423 POWER SYSTEMS II

MET 484 Engineering Economics
A study of economic applications in engineering and industrial organizations including capitalization and amortization, planning techniques, time value of money, cost analysis, and computer modeling.

EET 422 Power Systems I
Examines control of AC and DC motors including programmable controllers, industrial solid state electronics, including theory and application of four layer devices, and transducers used as control devices. Covers design of open loop control systems as well as three phase circuit analysis and analysis of power system networks by matrix algebra.

MET 236 Thermal Applications
Applications of fundamentals studied in MET 233 including steam and gas cycles, analysis of cycle components, steam generators, pumps, turbines, compressors, heat transfer and refrigeration systems.

EET 423 Power Systems II
Covers electric power systems, transmission lines, circuit constants, per-unit values, fault analysis, stability studies, principles of load flow control.
