Gunbunnies: A nomadic raider race from the space side of tetragrammacthonicton. Grizzled looking Texans permanently grafted in to walking artillery pods. These pods are generally festooned with guns and energy beams, have two long legs that are quite adept and jumping, and have pink bunny ears sprouting from directly over the faceplate. Yes they're always pink and fuzzy. Although fond of death and detruction they are quite jovial and feircely loyal once befreinded. There is no definite gunbunny social order beyond family-based clans. Rouges and mercs are quite common. Gunbunnies religion centers on an ancient messianic gunslinger named Jesse the Christ. His symbol is the gold hollowpoint bullet. Every Gunbunnie carries a single gold hollowpoint for use in ritual suicide. They also beleive in the norse valhallen, beleiving themselves the spiritual descendents of vikings, and so desire to die in battle more than anything else.
I just have this vision in my head of a group of typical characters:
There would be one insane, paranoid old woman with black hair and prophetic abilities, who is also a
memeber of the communist party and various other radical activist-groups and whose prophecies can
only be relied upon partly, since she tends to always have some vision of the great revolution within
the prophecy;
one hipster-motorcyclist (easy rider anyone?) who can drive his magical motorcycle into peoples
dreams and who suffers from the Moriarity-syndrome (Dean Moriarity, from On the Road): he can't
stay in one place any onger than a week, or he will slowly begin to go mad and finally die of
boredome, further there would be one jimi-hendrix-style rockmusician who uses his guitar to shoot
purple, sizzling lightning bolts through the Haze, and finally one sad-eyed, teenage poet who can turn
even the most hard-hearted servants of Moloch into pits of tears simply by reading his infinitely sad
poems. All these (exept the motorcyclist) rides around america fighting Moloch in a flowery van. n the beginning of times, there were no gods, no rulers or judges, only mankind herself, living in
harmony with nature. However, sometime during the early ages of mankind, due to man's ignorance
and obsession with wealth and material knowledge, a piece of Nirvana - in this game representing the
force that holds the world and reality itself together - became tainted and manifested as Moloch - the
oroginal god. Moloch was and is not a physical being, but rather all the cruelty, greed, weapons,
concrete and filth of the world haveing become concious. As the poem puts it: "Moloch! Filth!
Ugliness! Ashcans and unobtainable dollars! Children screaming under the stairways! Boys sobbing in
armies! Old men weeping in parks!"
Moloch chose a a handfull of women and men from the race of man, and gave them the power to rule
over specific areas of reality. The areas Moloch had power over were such things as Ignorance,
Money, Greed, Sadness, Hopelessness, Tears, Guns and so on - he could not rule love, flowers, joy
and such things, he could only control his Senate and their henchmen to attempt to conquer these
things indirectly.
However the woman Deana, who was put in charge of writing all the laws of man an child, rebelled
against Moloch and decided to fight him. Since all she knew was writing and composing texts, this
was the method she first chose to battle Moloch: she gave man the power of the word, the power of
beautiful poetry (corny, I know...ahem).
For many years, those who could control The Muse's (the name under which she was known by her
followers) gift fought the influence of Moloch by writing the most beatiful poetry one could imagine,
bringing hope and joy to mankind. This was not enough though, not by far, because Moloch's armies
were enormous and powerful, and they gained more power every time a child was slain in war, every
time a man was imprisoned and tortured, heck, even everytime a trader cheated a customer on
money: in short, the Muse was loosing the struggle.
But there's an important side story here. It begun when The Muse rebelled: the one who overtook the
mission to write down all the laws of man was an old, white-haired man already in charge of judging all
men. Now he also got the power to write the laws by which all men were judged, giving him infinetely
much more power over mankind - he became the being we know as God. God created many angels to
guard the heavens and let none out that had been put there - beacuse heaven is not paradise, it is a
prison designed to trap the souls of dead men and women and keep them from reaching Nirvana.
Some angels were also put in charge of watching mankind, scribbling down all sins each soul
committed. The angell Blandine was chosen to supervise mankinds dreams - even in her sleep men
could sin, god reasoned! But Blandine fell in love with The Muse and turned on his master. Using their
powers together, the two lovers created The Haze - a dramlike dimension parallell to our own, where
those chosen by the Muse could wander and let all things their minds could imagine become true. In
the Haze one could also clearly see Moloch and his followers as physical beings, making them
vulneral to attacks. The poem Howl puts it this way:
"Moloch whose mind is pure machinery! Moloch whose blood is running money! Moloch whose fingres
are ten armies!"
Moloch was truly a formidable, monstrous foe, seemingly undefeatable, but his minions, like
Ignorance, who is a man in a suit with a pig's head, can still be battled and temporarily defeated or
driven back in the Haze.
The Haze of course, can only be entered through madness, deep meditation or mind-expanding drugs.
The players will play poets, writers, hipsters, musiscians, bums and artists who not only enter the
Haze to battle Moloch, but who also must spread joy and happiness amongst other humans, to gain
Karma, which is then spent to perform superhuman feats in the Haze. Some will also have special
abilities in the real world They will also have to flee, in the real world, from cops who think they are
mad junkies and secret agents who call them revolutionaries and terrorists... some of these secret
agents are the servants of Moloch, some are just humans tainted by his influence. A 'god' that took it upon itself to destroy the civilisations that displease it.
- An automatic alien planet killer set to destropy any threats to its creators before they advance
beyond a certain level?
- Both.
- The few survivors from mars make an appearance.
- The martians who managed to bail from their doomed planet in time landed oin Earth, and the human
race evolved from them.
2) The spirit walker somehow opened a gateway when his mind plunged through the veil of reality,
allowing (alien) demonic beings to slip trough to Selene. They manifest near the core and slowly
dig/eat/claw their way through the underground labyrinths, finally reaching the surface. Of course there
vvill be some kind of religious aspect in this case too. What if some spirit-walkers follow the dark
prophet into the underground realms (i.e. through the time-space gateway in the black hole),
summoning the demons, in fact leading them back to the Selene reality? 1) The spirit-walker had a religious experience, seeing many heavenly things on "the other side". He
became a prophet, preaching that given that you follow whatever rules he set up your mind too will
travel to the paradisiac "underground realms" (he would probably not understand the concept of black
holes and time/spacewarps, thus assuming that whatever he saw on the other side simply existed
below the surface of Selene - hence the name "the underground realms"). There's the basis of a really
interesting and rather credible religion/cult.
Templos (the first human colony in the system), New
Cairo (a mining city and the centre of the planet’s
underworld), Megara (an exotic and diverse centre of
trade and religious life, the only city in the system
which could be considered anything like “neutral” in the
War) and Rosse (a focus for superstition situated high
up on a bleak moor).Naxos is a very hot world, and natural home of a
mysterious race known as the Djinn.scientists openly believe the Djinn
to be form of life drastically different from mankind
(not by any means unprecedented).A rocky and icy world of mountains and deciduous plant
life,A very turbulent world, the
main disturbance on its surface is known as “Thor’s
Hammer” and dreaded by those who use the planet as a
source of fuel for spacecraft due to the electromagnetic
interference it causes.has many moons
which are all named after characters from the Ancient
Greek and Roman periods of Old Earth mythology. Most of
its moons are used in some way;a very deep and dense atmosphere, though
scientists believe that it may have an icy core and tend
to compare it with Neptune – a massive floating
superfortress, once home to 100,000 soldiers, which is
now almost deserted but which remains fully pressurised. Deucalion is
home to a supply depot, while Xanadu was the
ultra-secretive site of the Republic. A network of communications
transceivers orbits the planet, controlled from a nearby
space station, the foremost of which is Cythera, upon
which an Arimist monastery is situated.Arimism is a religion thousands of years old and based upon the teachings of the "Fourth Messiah", a
philosopher and scientist called Arim. Arim is believed to have been the Prophet of the Universal
Consciousness ("Singularity") of Humankind, driven by the Singularity to preach the power of
Science as the key to understanding and drawing close to the Singularity, and thus a peaceful union
of all mankind. The Jamalite sect consists of the post-Blackout followers of Minister Richard Jamal, and believes
that the minions of evil have taken control of the system due to the War, which broke down the unity
of the Universal Consciousness and enabled evil to invade. They believe that the Mistral system will
be one of many "Hell Zones" where the Dark Realm is overlapping with the universe and the Hordes
of the Abyss lie in wait to consume those who lack faith. The Jamalites can be found in mainly in
Megara, though the sect has a few Misophrae within its ranks.
The Watchmen have tortured, slain and purged their way through Arimist history. They exterminated
the study of pre-Arimist mythology amongst the devout simply by ensuring the Arim’s Table
outlawed such research, then initiated a religious history purge wherein vast swathes of data records,
and even printed books, were destroyed, only leaving those copies which were in non-Arimist
hands. A number of Dûone academics also focus blame upon the Watchmen for initiating the
Dominion Holy War against them.
There's the obvious problem of how the demons will keep from being sucked right back in through the
black hole once they manifest in the core. I guess that they will only be splinters of another reality,
torn out pieces of alien energies and minds when they travel through the black hole - just like the
minds of the spirit-walkers they have no physical mass when "passing through the veil". On their way
up through the udnerground, they slowly take bits and pieces of the Selene-reality and forms a body
golem-style. Some will be made of mud, earth and rock, some of crystal, lava and other geological
elements that are picked up in the underground realms. Others will not manifest physically at all, but
rather possess an animal/creature/human when it reaches the surface and perhaps use it's powers to
deform and mold the host into a more demonic creature.

"The tide swarmed around me. Only my defiance anchored
my feet to the sand below me. Quickly I began to recall the
words of summoning that had been taught to me since I
was a small boy. As I began to chant the words I could feel
a warmth rush over me. Suddenly the skies became dark
and the waves crashed into me trying to drown me in their
fists of water. Determined, I continued to chant and far off
in the distance I saw him. Emerging from the fog the titan I
had summoned moved quickly towards me. He did not look
pleased but my chant bound him to my service and that
knowledge gave me strength. With a strong and determined
voice I commanded the titan with a single word, "Kneel". a peaceful man, who enjoys the
solitude of his forest home. He's quite, but fun loving and
something of a practical joker amongst his friends. He doesn't
care for large crowds, preferring the company of animals and
the plants to that of mortals or other Gods. However, despite
all of that, he has been labelled as something of a Romeo. He
has known heartache and anger often in his life, usually
because of the Goddess Missa. His long term mating with her,
which she broke off is one of the more painful memories of his
life.n possesses intelligence. When used with
normal non-magical arrows, this bow is capable of firing them
five times the distance they would normally travel and with
considerably improved accuracy. When using magical arrows,
these effects can be compounded with other effects. This
bow's true name is Etheriveth.
Complicate ritual that when cast
upon the seeds used for planting, increases crop yield
by 20% for the caster, plus 5% per each additional
priest involved in ritual.
Arrows of Slaying - These magical arrows kill instantly upon
penetrating a target, regardless if the area struck is considered
non-lethal.
Arrows of Destruction - These magical arrows strike with
the same force as a Force Blast and can kill or knock down
structures.
This spell causes a target to become
hopelessly lost in the forest and instils in them a respect
for their surroundings. This spell is used mainly against
those who abuse the resources of the forest - trophy
hunters etc. Spell lasts one week and effects one
target.
Armour of Leaves - This magical Armour has several useful
properties. First it is incredible strong and light. Second, it is
absolutely silent. And finally, it has chameleon like properties,
blending in perfectly with it's background surroundings.A common theme
amongst his followers is that all life depends on Forests and
they work towards protecting them, through an interest in
learning all they can about plants and animals
