Highlander: The Series...Return of the Highlander

Methos walked through the nearly abandoned streets of downtown Paris. Methos had been shopping for books without much luck and it had grown late. Passing a shadowy alley, Methos felt the presence of another immortal. Curiosity won out over caution and Methos went to investigate.

Methos arrived just in time to see a horrific site. One immortal lay beheaded on the grimy pavement of the alley and another was shaking off the after-effects of the Quickening and rising, sword in hand, to stare directly at Methos.

"I'm Darth Vader, who are you," the sword wielding immortal asked.

"Just a guy," Methos replied.

"Not for long," Vader replied, laughing. And with that Vader chared towards Methos swinging.

Methos burst into the barge and nearly knocked over MacLeod, who was just finishing up a little dinner.

"Methos, what's wrong," MacLeod asked.

"I ran into an immortal who said his name was Darth Vader. I just barely escaped with my head," Methos replied.

"Darth Vader," MacLeod repeated as he got a far away look to his face.

Ewok Village, 2000

Duncan MacLeod of the Clan MacLeod strolled through the quiet streets of Ewok Village. He was expected at Princess Leia's home that evening and was simply trying to kill some time before his date.

At the appointed hour, MacLeod knocked on Princess Leia's door. There was no answer. He knocked again. Still no answer. MacLeod was starting to worry. It wasn't like Princess Leia not to be ready.

MacLeod drew his sword and cautiously opened the door. He was immediately assailed by the presence of another immortal. As he ran through the deserted rooms of Princess Leia's house, MacLeod could hear faint screams and his heart clenched painfully in his chest.

MacLeod arrived just in time to see Princess Leia impaled on the other immortal's sword, just before Vader's mortal cohorts knocked MacLeod unconscious.

"If I'd only gotten there a little earlier, Princess Leia might have lived," MacLeod brooded.

"Why didn't Vader take your head," Methos asked.

"I don't know," MacLeod answered.

MacLeod entered the dimly lit interior of the library and saw his friend Methos sitting at the far end of the room.

"I need some help, Methos," MacLeod said.

"What's wrong," Methos asked.

"There's an immortal in town named Darth Vader; he's after you," MacLeod replied.

"Have you ever met this Vader before," Methos asked.

"Yes," MacLeod replied. And Methos could tell from the scowl on MacLeod's face that Vader was not a friend.

"What should I do," MacLeod asked.

"Lure him outside and take his head; problem solved," Methos replied.

As MacLeod emerged from the shower, moist, billowing steam escaped from the bathroom into the interior of the barge.

MacLeod dropped the skimpy towel that was just barely wrapped around his hips, and began searching the barge for some clothes.

It took MacLeod a long time to find his boxers.  Then MacLeod pulled on a pair of slacks and a blue silk shirt and left the barge.

Amanda crept through a quiet park on the outskirts of Paris. Joe had told Amanda that Darth Vader was going to be in the area tonight, and Amanda intended to put an end to this situation once and for all.

Amanda was suddenly overwhelmed by the presence of another immortal very nearby. Darth Vader stepped out from behind a shrub, sword in hand.

Amanda drew her sword.

"I'm Darth Vader," Vader said.

"Shut up and fight," Amanda replied.

And the sword fight began.

Swords clashed and sparks flew. Amanda took a small slash to the thigh and replied with a jab to Vader's side -- not a mortal wound though.

The two combatants were evenly matched and as the battle went on, Amanda realized that she needed to end it soon or possibly succumb to Vader's apparently superior endurance.

Amanda sommersaulted through the air and landed behind Vader.

Amanda's gamble worked. Vader was impaled on Amanda's sword and while Vader lay helpless on the ground, beheaded.

The Quickening was the most spectacular any of the Watcher's present had ever seen.

Amanda's friends gathered to celebrate her victory.

Here's to you Amanda," Joe said raising his whiskey glass.

MacLeod, Methos and Richie were too happy to say anything.
