Main History -- September 2000 -- October 2000 September 6, 2000 Well, well. Year three at Carleton University is beginning, and I have a lot of running around to do, to prepare. So, what did I do? I started a huge table of all the weapon combinations for Vagrant Story. My friends thought I was insane before, for talking about nothing but Sydney. (It's true. I found a way to work Sydney Losstarot into every single conversation.) But, now, they don't know what to do. "Why are you making a huge weapon combination table?" they ask, "Can't you get stuff off the internet? There are walkthroughs, you know." "Yes," I reply, "but no one has a complete list of ALL the weapons combined with ALL the other weapons." "All 80 something weapons..." they say, fearing the look on my face. Then they start edging towards the door. Oh well. It is a huge table, too. I can use it as a blanket. I didn't feel like making a whole shrine to Sydney yet, so instead, I just put up my pictures on a (temporary) gallery page, accessable from the Visual section, and from here for now. Enjoy. Also, email me and tell me what you think of the pictures, the layout, or just comments in general. I'm still at about 65 hours of gameplay on Vagrant Story, as I keep dying... September 17, 2000 Yes. I haven't been updating recently. That's nothing new. I'm in the process of attempting to get a handle on my studies. And, I'm lazy. I did, however, finally beat Vagrant Story once. I'm playing it a second time, as well. The idea was that I could try and get through the whole thing rather quickly, now that I had large, spanky weapons. Such was not the case, for I still had to keep stopping to draw Sydney. Or just have him stay there on the screen for a long time. In the fight where he joins you, you can go into first-person perspective mode. If he's standing in one place, he tries to be always facing you. So, you can stand in front of him, and look him over... I will now be silent about it. So, no, no new updates yet. I'm lazy, my bad. September 20, 2000 I have decided that I haven't been working as much on my listed projects as I wanted to. Therefore, I have decided that my goal is to have the Outenkun shrine page up and running by the end of this weekend. I'm going to try and update and even maybe organize my links page, if I have time. There are a lot of links for me to add, so I doubt if I'll finish soon. Unless I really want to fail several of my classes. Yes, even this early in the term I could fail out of some of the classes. The reason being that they put a high percentage of the mark on just one or two things. Sigh. I'm considering scanning in one or two of the shounen ai comics I have from a Black Matrix anthology. However, that would take time (and hard drive space). If you, the viewer, would like to see these stories, email me and tell me about it. If enough people would like to see these, I'll find some space, and devote the time. (Plus, I'm further along in translating these ones than I am in translating the Houshin Engi one...) You never know, it could become the next weekend's project... if people email me about it. And now, back to my readings. September 24, 2000 Well, I said I would finish the Outenkun Shrine for today, and I did it! View it here or go through the Visual page. The last picture may go to nothing just now, as I'm still writing that part, but everything else is up. Enjoy! I'm still working on the Links section update, and will be occasionally adding to it tonight. I doubt if I'll finish it all tonight, though, as I've been skimping on my readings for class... Also updated is the Update History page. I've sectioned that page into manageable pieces, and have added the 'questionable' updates into a seperate page. Nothing too spectacular there. No one has emailed me yet to say that they'd like to see more of the doujinshi I own, so for now, I won't bother trying to find space or time for that, and will instead concentrate on other parts of the page. We managed to find an XJapan CD, so that's what I'm listening to now. It's.... metal-ballad-y... but somehow not bad. Which CD is it, you ask? It's called Psyche Violence. September 29, 2000 I added a new Sydney picture today. I've also got a new Outenkun image for the Shrine, which I'll be adding when it's been cleaned up in Photoshop. I'll probably finish the page for the third Outenkun image tonight. I'll get more links sorted out and added, at various points this weekend. It takes a while, because as I'm looking at the pages to see if they're still there, I tend to get caught up in the content of the page, instead of just adding the link... Stay tuned!-- September 30, 2000 I fixed a lot of things today. A lot. I fixed all of the gallery pages, so the gaps left by missing images are filled up. As a result, there are fewer gallery pages. I also made all the gallery pages match a newer color scheme, and fixed all their links. The Sydney Gallery is in a less shabby state. I've added thumbnails for each image, to make loading faster. I've removed the links to the ebay section, as I didn't feel like having it take up space on my page anymore. I've removed the essay section, and added the two essays I felt like keeping to the Writings Section. I've added a link to the k i n g o f h e a v e n Outenkun Shrine page on the menu frame. I've also changed my 'about me' page slightly, but nothing of much importance. I've been somewhat remiss in my updating of the Links Section... I haven't had much time to add new ones yet today, as I've been in a constant state of busy-ness. I also haven't slept much recently. Feeling... woozy... I'm also trying to finish a picture, which will be a first for me -- a Gundam Wing couple. I'll be posting it on one of the Yahoo clubs I'm in (Open Heart, Open Mind). I will likely (if I have space) add it to my (nearly empty..) Shounen Ai/yaoi Section. Look forward to it! I'll do my best to update with more links tonight and tomorrow. |
