Scene 1:
Buffy: Hunny, what do you want me to do? Quit my job at the Law office.
Mike: No, I don’t. It’s just your never home. Either you’re at work or at night you’re out doing your thing.
Buffy: My thing. I told you who I am.
Mike: I still don’t understand and now I don’t want to.
(You hear the baby cry from her cradle upstairs)
Buffy: Excuse me I have to tend to our child.
(Upstairs)
Buffy: Come hear Hunny. Are You OK? Yes you are. (Saying to their baby Hanna)
Mike: Look, I’m sorry. It’s just your life is so confusing and I just want this household to be normal.
Buffy: It’ll never be normal.
(The following morning)
Mike: Good Morning
Buffy: Morning
Mike: You OK?
Buffy: Peachy. I’m going to work give the baby my love.
Mike: Next time tell her yourself.
Buffy: Good Bye.
(The law office)
Buffy: Sandra, can I have the paperwork on the Stevenson’s vs. Dion’s Case?
Sandra: Give me a second. I have to check the back for the info.
Buffy: thanks
Sandra: Here you go. All the information on the weird cases, Why are you always stuck with them? Well, never mind, Have fun.
Buffy: I will.
Sandra: Oh Buffy before you go you have a call on line one.
Buffy: Oh thanks. Tell them I’ll take it ask my desk.
Sandra: Oh, she’ll take it at her desk sir. Hold on a moment.
(Buffy at her desk picking up the phone)
Buffy: Hello, Buffy Richardson speaking.
The person: Soon it will come.
Buffy: Who is this?
The person: You don’t know. But, you will soon find out.
Buffy: Who are you?
The person: I hope they won’t hurt them. It’ll be such a pity.
Buffy: Hurt who?
The person: You’ll know eventually.
(The person on the other end hangs up)
Buffy: Sandra who was that on the other line.
Sandra: He said it was your brother.
Buffy: I don’t have a brother.
Sandra: What?
Buffy: Tell Boss Willie I’m cutting out.
Sandra: Where are you going?
Buffy: There is something I need to do.
(By the time Buffy got home she saw the door open slightly with the cross hanging off of it. She stepped into the room and saw the papers from Mike’s desk all over the floor)
Buffy: Mike, Hanna.
(Buffy heard crying and she ran into the nursery)
Buffy: Oh my baby. Oh Hanna. Are you OK? Yes you are. You have to be. Come on.
(Buffy entered the living room and Buffy screamed.)
Buffy: No! Oh no. Mike wake up. Please wake up. Please.
Scene 2:
The detective: I’m sorry for your loss Mrs. Richardson.
(Buffy just nods her head. All she is thinking of is keeping her daughter close to her heart)
Willow: Buffy! Are you OK?
Buffy: Peachy.
Willow: Buffy
Buffy: I’m fine Will.
Willow: The whole gang is here. We thought you could use the support.
Buffy: All I need is my daughter.
Willow: Yeah. I guess. Everyone would like to see you.
Buffy: OK
Giles: Buffy, Are you all right?
Buffy: I’m fine. Why does everyone keep asking me that?
Xander: Well, Buff you are going through something traumatic right now.
Buffy: No, it’s not. It was vampires. Just vampires.
Willow: But they have to be invited.
Buffy: I know. Mike probably thought they were humans until they showed their true face.
Giles: It would explain everything.
Buffy: Yeah. It would.
Xander: So what do you plan to do.
Buffy: Kill every single monster that did this to my husband.
(Buffy went inside with her daughter in her arms)
(She walked up the stairs with tears falling from her face. She laid her daughter down in her cradle)
Buffy: I’m sorry Hanna
Hanna: Angel
Buffy: Hanna, what did you say.
Hanna: Angel
Angel: Hey
Buffy: What are you doing here?
Angel: I thought I should pay a visit.
Buffy: You haven’t paid a visit in almost 5 years.
Angel: This is different. Something happened. You’re hurting.
Buffy: What do you want me to do?
Angel: Come with me.
Buffy: Where?
Angel: Away from here, Away from life itself.
Buffy: Angel, I have a daughter and a job here. I can’t just go.
Angel: Yeah you can.
Buffy: I don’t want to.
Angel: You owe it to yourself and your daughter to come.
Buffy: How did Hanna know your name? How?
Angel: Her window is always open.
Buffy: How did you get in here?
Angel: Awhile ago, Mike invited me in.
Buffy: Mike. You were with him.
Angel: He knew. He knew everything. I told him that if he did anything to you he would suffer the consequences. He was working for them.
Buffy: Working for whom? I don’t believe this.
Angel: Your gonna have to if you want to kill them.
Buffy: Who’s them?
Angel: Didn’t they call you?
Buffy: How did you know?
Angel: I’ve been watching. Hanna especially. I wouldn’t let them take her.
Buffy: Thank you, But what about Mike?
Angel: He was dead before I got here.
Buffy: I want to know everything.
Angel: Then, come with me.
Buffy: What about Hanna?
Angel: Let Xander and Willow take care of her.
Buffy: I don’t know Angel. The only person I trust right now is you. I don’t know about them.
Angel: Buffy, you’re gonna have to trust them now more than anything.
Buffy: OK. Let’s go.
Scene 3:
Angel: Come on.
Buffy: Where are we Angel?
Angel: You don’t remember?
Buffy: No I don’t.
Angel: First graveyard you saw a vampire.
Buffy: What does this have to do with anything?
Angel: There going to make you go through your past. All the pain and misery and you have to do it alone.
Buffy: Then why are you here?
Angel: To tell you everything.
Buffy: Do tell.
Angel: I will. Just not yet. We’re going some place safe for the night.
Buffy: Fine.
(An old cabin in the woods overlooking the lake)
Buffy: Angel, what is this place? I don’t want to be here. I just want to find this thing and get this finished.
Angel: You’re going to have to wait.
Buffy: I don’t want to wait. I want to leave now.
Angel: Why? To get killed.
Buffy: I won’t.
Angel: Yes you will. With all this rage, fear, and sadness all rolled into one you are gonna get yourself hurt maybe dead.
Buffy: I’ll be fine.
Angel: You are fooling yourself. Why can’t you let me help you?
Buffy: You said it yourself you can’t help me fight this thing.
Angel: I can’t help you with the act of fighting but I can help you with your fear of it.
Buffy: I’m not afraid. I’ve never have been.
Angel: Listen to yourself. Why are you lying? You always have been afraid.
Buffy: No….
Angel: Yes, you have. What you want an example? You were afraid of the Master. It was a nightmare you had. You are afraid of being turned into something you hate which is a vampire. You even took that risk of being turned into one when you let me feed from you. I also think you’re afraid of me being evil again. You’re afraid of losing me just like you were afraid of losing Mike.
(Buffy started to drip a tear from her eye)
Buffy: How can you help me?
Angel: Just let me be here for you and don’t push me away.
Buffy: Don’t leave me. You got that. Mike left me and if you do I swear to God I’ll hurt you badly.
Angel: I guess we both agree on this.
Buffy: The guess is correct.
Angel: OK.
(At Giles’ house)
Willow: What do you think about Buffy and Angel?
Giles: I think there fine as long as Buffy holds it together.
Xander: Let’s hope
Giles: Well let’s get cracking on research. Angel told us to do research on this Enlightened One. Supposedly she turned evil at a young age and she is using her powers for evil instead of good.
Xander: May I ask what is an Enlightened One?
Willow: It’s a very powerful witch. She has power of the mind, heart, body, and soul. There is only supposed to be 2 in the world.
Giles: Correct.
Xander: Point for Willow. Did Tara teach you this stuff?
Willow: No, most of the spells we do Enlightened Ones create.
Giles: OK, Focus. Let’s do research.
Scene 4:
Angel: Morning
Buffy: Hey
Angel: How are you?
Buffy: As good as can be expected. You?
Angel: I’m Fine. There’s coffee on the counter.
Buffy: Thanks
Angel: Did you get some sleep?
Buffy: I didn’t sleep. I couldn’t. I was up all last night analyzing everything. I don’t think I’ve processed it all yet. I’m still trying to.
Angel: It’s understandable.
Buffy: I guess. I just don’t know what to do? My husband is dead and there is nothing I can do about it.
Angel: I wish I could bring him back for you. If that would make you happy?
Buffy: I don’t know what would anymore. I’m just confused.
Angel: Yeah.
Buffy: I want my life to be normal but….
Angel: It will never be.
Buffy: Right. You know if I had one wish it would be for normalcy. Just one day I would want absolute peace with myself and the world around me.
Angel: Good wish
Buffy: What about you? What’s your wish?
Angel: To feel love one more time.
Buffy: Good wish
Angel: yeah.
Buffy: So, what’s the plan? Me slay demons.
Angel: It’s a little more complicated than that Buffy.
Buffy: Your not going to tell me are you.
Angel: I will when you’re ready.
Buffy: Ready for what?
Angel: Absolute horror.
Buffy: Death?
Angel: I don’t know.
Buffy: You have to know something.
Angel: It’s evil, Absolute evil.
Buffy: The 1st evil?
Angel: It has something to do with it.
Buffy: This is going to be fun.
Angel: It always is.
(Giles’ house)
Xander: Giles man we’ve been looking all night.
Willow: It says here in the book. The only way to defeat evil is if you defeat good with it. No one wins. Everyone looses. We loose Buffy.
Giles: And….Hanna won’t have a mother.
Xander: She doesn’t have a father.
(Tara walks in)
Tara: Yeah she does.
Scene 5:
Willow: What do you mean she does?
Tara: Hanna has a father.
Xander: May I ask whom?
Giles: Angel
Tara: Yes
Willow: How did you know about Angel Tara?
Tara: I talked to the higher powers.
Willow: You can do that?
Tara: Yeah I can. I only did it once. I thought it would help. They saw into the future of the Slayer and they saw a vampire with a soul.
Giles: Oh.
Tara: Were they ever together before?
Xander: Oh Yeah.
Willow: It’s true.
Tara: Well that’s mainly what they said.
Giles: Thank you Tara. You just gave me an idea.
Willow: For the Enlightened One.
Tara: You can call upon her.
Giles: Yes exactly. Let’s just hope we don’t contact the evil one.
Xander: Hoping.
(At night in the old cabin)
Buffy: OK so there is this Enlightened One and she is going to do what?
Angel: She has powers.
Buffy: Like?
Angel: An Enlightened One supposedly has powers of mind, soul, body, and heart. Some how the powers got split in half when the powers were given to these twins.
Buffy: Named what?
Angel: Katherine and Katrina.
Buffy: Who’s the evil one?
Angel: Katrina is evil. Katherine should help you if we find her.
Buffy: So, I can’t kill this thing without her.
Angel: Correct.
Buffy: I actually understand. All the signs are pointing to good.
Angel: That’ good.
Buffy: Yup.
Kat: You been looking for me?
Angel: Katharine.
Kat: Kats Fine. So, You wanna defeat my sister?
Buffy: Actually yes. Got any suggestions on how to kill her.
Kat: Actually Yes
Angel: Which would be?
Kat: You let me do it for you.
Buffy: I don’t think so.
Angel: Buffy.
Kat: I have to do this.
Buffy: Why you?
Kat: Cause it’s my duty.
Buffy: Your duty? I’m the Slayer.
Kat: But……You have a destiny. It’s not just slaying demons for the rest of your life. If you want a family who you can laugh with and talk with and actually sleep without slaying one demon then your gonna have to listen to me. I can help you. You can have peace with yourself and the world if you let me help you.
Buffy: What do you know?
Kat: Let’s get started.
Scene 6:
Kat: I’ll tell you everything but let’s start from the beginning.
Angel: Kat. Don’t tell her that…
Buffy: Tell me what?
Kat: Angel and I already knew each other. When I was young I lived in New York with my mom and my sister. We were coming out of this park a demon and a vampire came. The demon killed my mom right before my eyes. Katrina and I were holding hands and the vampire took her. Angel came in time for me.
Angel: I remember throwing her in the car and locking it. I couldn’t save Katrina. It was too late.
Kat: I walked out of the car and saw them lying there. I ran. I just ran away. I still remembered Angel though. I saw his eyes and they haven’t changed. Anyway, she has been following me. Everywhere I go and everything I do she’s there. I’m the one who needs to send her to hell.
Buffy: What do I do?
Kat: She’s calling upon the all the past demons that you’ve sent to hell. All of them, The Master, Mayor, Adam…. You know the rest.
Buffy: That’s why you took me to the old graveyard.
Angel: Yes.
Buffy: What about the thing that killed my husband?
Kat: It was my sister. I’m sorry.
Buffy: Don’t apologize.
Angel: Buffy, You ok?
Buffy: I’m Peachy. When does she do this?
Kat: Soon. It’s the Anniversary of when the first demon mixed blood with it’s 1st human and infected him with the demon.
Buffy: It’s a powerful day huh?
Kat: I would say so.
(The phone rings)
Angel: Hello.
Giles: Hey. Did the Enlightened One contact you by any chance?
Angel: Yes. Kat’s here.
Giles: Very well then.
Angel: She gave us some information. On when it will happen.
Giles: And when will that be?
Angel: Tomorrow, Night.
Giles: Oh dear. Where?
Angel: The Hellmouth. I don’t want Hanna there. Let Joyce take care of Hanna. She’ll be safe in a home.
Giles: Very well.
Angel: Try to find something on how to stop this. The End of Days is coming.
Giles: We will.
Angel: Bye.
Giles: Goodbye Angel.
(At Giles’)
Giles: We have a problem.
Scene 7:
(The following day at the cabin)
Buffy: Is everything set?
Angel: It’s ready.
Buffy: I don’t know if I can go through all of this again.
Angel: Have faith in yourself.
Buffy: You will be there right? Helping me at least.
Angel: Yeah but you know you’re gonna have to do most of this on your own.
Buffy: Aware of it
Angel: You scared?
Buffy: Yup. I am. You?
Angel: I don’t think I have been more horrified in my life.
Buffy: What do we do at the end when the first evil comes?
Angel: We all fight it together.
Buffy: Everyone will be there?
Angel: Everyone will be helping. I promise.
Buffy: You promised you wouldn’t leave me right?
Angel: I promise.
(Buffy nods and they get into the car and head for the burned down Sunnydale High School where all of their battles against evil took place.)
Scene 8:
(Everyone was there standing in front of the burned down high school Buffy, Angel, Kat, Giles, Willow, Xander, Anya, Tara, Spike, Riley, Cordelia, Wesley, and Oz. The whole Scooby Gang was contacted to be there at 10:00pm.)
Buffy: Is everyone ready?
Giles: I think we’re all hanging in.
Buffy: Good, cause whatever happens here tonight I just want to say that I love you all. Some more than other but, umm I do love you.
Kat: We should go over the plan.
Angel: Good Idea.
Buffy: Ok. Willow, Anya, Tara, you’ll be in the back summoning the 1st good so, the 1st evil can have some one to fight with. Angel, Spike, Riley, I need you all backing me up. Giles and Wesley make sure nothing gets out of here and also help fight the vampires and minions. Cordelia, Xander, and Oz you know if the spell gets to intense for anyone step in and also if someone happens to get hurt get them out of there OK. Kat you take your sister cause I know she’ll be there. Everyone got it.
Willow: We’re good Buffy.
Buffy: Good luck all of you. Let’s go.
(Buffy and the others made their way into the burned library.)
Katrina: Well, well, well. I was hoping you’d pay a visit.
Master: As was I.
Buffy: Master?
(Buffy jumped down to meet with him face to face.)
Buffy: Let the games begin.
(The master and Buffy started fighting and the other demons and vampires ran to fight with Angel, Spike, Riley, Giles, and Wesley. Tara, Willow, and Anya made a triangle to summon the 1st good. They began while Kat and Katrina stood face to face with one another.)
Katrina: You don’t have the guts to take me on.
Kat: Make a deal. No magic. Just us fighting to see who wins.
Katrina: Deal. Come on. Take me on.
(Kat did a round house kick right in her face and Katrina flew across the room)
Kat: You wanna get up anytime soon.
(The master and Buffy were still fighting. He grabbed her neck and she grabbed his.)
Buffy: You have fruit punch mouth.
Master: Huh?
Angel: Buffy.
(Angel threw Buffy a stake and she staked the Master.)
Buffy: He always falls for that.
(The next battle was about to begin because Angelus came out of the Hellmouth)
Buffy: What?
Angel: Oh my God.
Angelus: Hello, Angel and Buffy. Good to see you.
Angel: But, how?
Angelus: Ask Katrina. I have no clue.
Buffy: Would you like to help me with this?
Angel: I’d like that.
(They began fighting)
(Katrina and Kat stuck to their word because they weren’t using their powers.)
Katrina: Ready to give up yet?
Kat: Not on your life. Oh, I’m sorry I forgot your dead already.
(They began fighting again)
(Willow, Tara, and Anya were still chanting while the other three looked on)
(Angel and Angelus were at it so Buffy went to retrieve a
stake.)(Angelus was choking Angel so from behind Buffy staked him and right when he was about to turn into dust)
Angel: Never hurt her again.
(Angelus was dust)
Buffy: Thanks.
Angel: The next one is yours.
(The Mayor came out threw the portal but he was in human form)
Buffy: Hey Mayor Wilkins how’s it going?
(Buffy took a stake and lit fire on the end and shot it at the Mayor while he combusted)
Buffy: That was too easy.
(Katrina and Kat were still fighting but Kat had her pinned.)
Kat: Good bye Katrina.
(Kat put the stake right in her heart)
(Willow, Tara, and Anya’s chant had just ended and the ground began to shake.)
(The 1st evil came out of the Hellmouth while the 1st good came from above. It was like a bright light that had the face of Kendra. She was the other Slayer Buffy met. Buffy just stood there stunned. The 1st evil had the face of Jenny Calendar.)
Kendra: You will not hurt them.
Jenny: You’re gonna stop me.
Kendra: If I have to. Go back to hell where you belong.
(Jenny just smiled and sent a bolt of lightning into Buffy. She dropped to the ground and couldn’t move. Angel immediately ran to her, as did Riley.)
Jenny: I’ll be around. (She went back into the Hellmouth at that moment.)
(Angel held Buffy in his arms. Riley beside him.)
Angel: No. Buffy, Please.
Buffy: Angel
Angel: You Ok?
Buffy: Peachy. You know what’s going to happen to me.
Angel: No, Buffy. No.
Buffy: I love you. I want you to know that.
Angel: I love you too. I never stopped.
(Then she stopped talking)
(Everyone knew what happened including the 1st good. Angel didn’t care if everyone one was watching he just held her limp body with no life in his arms. She had no breath, no heart beat, and the color of her beautiful face was fading away. Angel couldn’t think. All Angel was doing was crying in pain.)
Angel: Bring her back.
Kendra: I don’t have the authority.
Angel: I don’t care. Bring her back. She wasn’t supposed to die like this.
Kendra: On one condition.
Angel: What?
Kendra: I make you human as well. You can keep your strength and your healing powers but I want you human.
(Angel nodded)
(The 1st good rose her hands and a bright light surrounded Buffy and Angel. The others couldn’t even see what was happening but when they could they saw Buffy opening her eyes in Angel’s arms.)
(The 1st good was gone)
Buffy: Angel
Angel: Welcome back.
(All Buffy could do was smile because her hand laid over his heart and she felt it beating.)
Angel: I love you.
Buffy: I love you.
(And they kissed)
