Family Reunion

Chapter One

Buffy entered the Bronze after a quick patrol. She scanned the crowds looking for her friends and him, especially him. Angel. It had been nearly two months since had last seen Angel. She was beginning too get used to his Cryptic Guy act but she thought that he was melting under the cool, mysterious exterior. Then he does something stupid like this. He left town without telling her. In fact the only reason she knew he wasn't avoiding her or even if was seriously hurt, maybe even dead was because he had left Giles a note. That made her furious.

"Buffy, Buffy hello, are you with us?" said Xander as he joined her at the entrance of the Bronze. "Welcome to the planet Earth Buff, you were totally out of it ."

"Oh sorry Xander I was just thinking," Buffy replied as she and Xander walked to a table occupied by a smiling Willow and Oz as well as an annoyed Cordelia who perked up the moment she spotted her sweetie.

"Thinking at the Bronze is not a good thing, Buffy." Willow said with a smile for the two newcomers "Even I know that."

"So Buffy have you heard from Angel yet?" asked

Cordelia."No I haven't," Buffy answered sadly. "I'm really worried about him."

"Well, if my boyfriend was that cute I'd be worried too." the May Queen stated completely off the subject.

Everyone glared

"What ? Like you guys weren't thinking the same thing." she said defensively.

"Buffy, ignore my girlfriend, she never heard of tact." Xander said rolling his eyes. He had long ago accepted the fact that Buffy was in love with Angel therefor he could never have anything but a friendship with her.

Buffy wasn't paying any attention to her friends usual banter. She had just spotted a familiar figure across the room. Angel. She smiled as she got up, ready to walk over to her undead boyfriend when Willow stopped her.

"Where are you going?" questioned a worried Willow who along with the rest hadn't noticed Angel. "Cordelia didn't mean anything. Angel would never cheat on you."

"I think she knows that Willow. Guess who just entered the Bronze?" Oz said as he finally noticed the arrival of the vampire.

Willow, Xander, and Cordelia turned around spotting Angel who stilled hadn't noticed the group.

"Well you guys I've got a vampire to see." Buffy said as she left her friends

Buffy walked up behind Angel, who still hadn't spotted her. She smiled as thought of the welcome she'd give him when a beautiful girl with long black hair walked up too him. Angel smiled at her as he put an arm around her shoulders.

All thoughts off a warm welcome washed out of Buffy mind as she marched up to Angel. She thought of Cordelia's remark about Angel cheating on her, and she felt anger course through out her veins at his betrayal.

Buffy grabbed tightly at Angel's free arm and smiled tightly as he turned around.

"Buffy!" he exclaimed surprised at her strong grip. "You're here."

"It's the Bronze, were else would I be?" she retorted angrily.

"Why? Did you think I wouldn't be here so brought along your girlfriend?"

"Girlfriend?" broke in the girl surprised

"She's not my girlfriend." Angel said equally surprised.

"Right, I suppose she's an out of town cousin just stopping by for a visit." Buffy said sarcastically as she remembered Tyler her boyfriend from before her Slaying days once using that line.

By now another girl had joined them. She had dark red hair and looked familiar, yet Buffy was certain she'd never met her before.

"Buffy she's not my girlfriend," Angel repeated anxiously. "She's my little sister Shantell, Shani for short, and this my other sister Tara," he said pointing to the red head.

"Angel how blonde do you think I am?" Buffy said more hurt than angry. "You don't have anymore sisters remember? They're dead!"

"Dead? We're not dead are we Shani?" Tara asked her sister amused in a musical voice.

"Not the last time I checked." her sister replied just as amused.

That's when Buffy realized why Tara looked so familiar. She was a female replica of Angel except for the hair and the eyes which were blue instead of brown.

"How can you be Angel's sisters?" Buffy asked mystified

Then turning to a silent Angel, she said, "You told me your entire family was dead." she didn't want how it came to be that they were in case he was lying and pulling what she called a Tyler. She didn't think the two girls would appreciate that.

"That's why we came here. We came to get you so that we could explain how we came to be after Angelus killed us." Shani said smiling at a bewildered Buffy.
