The Contentment Series:
Finished Business

Everyone was getting ready to watch the movie at Angel and Buffy's. Willow and Oz were making real popcorn off the stove while Xander and his girlfriend got the cushions and the tape ready. Victoria and Steven stopped what they were doing and pulled their brother over to the side. Once they were all facing each other Vicky spoke but Steven cut in.

"I just want to say that Victoria was the one who wanted to do this. Not me. I told her to stay out of it but you know from first hand experience that Vicky only listens when she feels she should. Which would be never. Go ahead," he nudged her.

She looked at her brother and then at Buffy. "I'll cut right to the chase, are you guys having a baby?" Buffy looked at Angel who knew that they couldn't lie because it was already out. He nodded in sync with Buffy's head. Vicky smiled and hugged them tightly. "I'm so happy for you. I was just walking down the hall and I was telling Steven that there was something up with you and then it dawned on me what was going on. Oh! I'm so happy for you!" she repeated glowing from ear to ear.

"My brother's, going to be a father, and I'm going to be an aunt! I never thought that this could happen. That we would all get happy endings." She finally calmed down and allowed her brother to speak.

He smiled but became serious. "Don't tell anyone you guys. We didn't want to tell just yet. We can't do anything about you, but for now we have to keep this quiet. Buffy and I want to make this easy as possible." Steven nodded as well as Vicky who was still smiling in shock.

"Are you guys coming over here to watch the movie or not? Our time is very valuable. Actually, it's not but you know what I mean." The group smiled at each other trying not laugh. They all gave each other glances that could only mean they knew something the rest didn't. All six sat down and watched the movie. The scene we leave was definitely a happy one.
