REEPAK

APPEARANCE

Reepak is about 4´ tall, weighs around 65 pounds, and is in superb shape. His eyes are almond shaped and of a light brown hue. His hair is long, with long curls and dark of color. He usually looks like he is smiling when he is not wondering off into his own thoughts. His skin is sunburnt to a golden brown color and bereft of bodily hairs. He is not capable of growing any facial hairs.

He wears soft leather breaches, loose shirt and goes around barefoot. His feet show calluses from walking barefoot all of his life. His body is adorned with leather armbands from where feathers hang from leather straps. His ankles also show leather bands and his right calf bears a small bone knife in a scabbard. In his right shoulder is a beautiful piece of artwork drawn from what looks like some sort of paint.

Reepak carries a bone tipped wooden spear which he uses as a walking aid. This spear is adorned with exotic feathers and is carved with many runes on its shaft. He also carries a small backpack flung upon his left shoulder along with a waterskin. He carries himself with a detached air of innocence.

HISTORY

Reepak is from a small tribe of halflings west of the Ringing Mountains. His tribe lives in the foothills where the mountains start to be covered with verdant foliage from the jungle. He comes from a long line of druids and his mother is the chief shaman of the tribe. His guarded land is at the foot of the hills where a natural current of water springs from amidst a great rock outcrop. (Major Earth, Minor Water)

He was told of the desert waste, that the rest of the known world is, by old storytellers. He has known and seated himself around the warrior campfires where the veterans would tell of their services in the city of Urik under King Hamanu. He was not eligible to serve with his fellow tribesmen no matter how hard he tried to persuade them. He was told many times that his skill with weapons was just not good enough and his druid skills are much more valuable to go about training with weapons.

His determination did not cease and although he was chosen to serve the land by his elders, he began to exploit his natural talent with the Way. He never received any formal training by his tribe elders so his Way developed in a wild form.

When his time for wandering was upon him, he eagerly set off to see the desert waste and wants one day to serve under King Hamanu and bring back prestige to his tribe and family. He has wondered the tablelands in company of different peoples and came to know many diverse cultures. His natural curiosity is rarely sated and it is very common for him to ask many questions about their way of life. As of now, he came to admire the "bugfolk" as their way of life seems more natural to him.

PERSONALITY

Reepak is very curious about the world in general and why the people act the way they do. He is trying to understand why the world is dying and put an end to it. He came across defilers in his wandering and was outraged when he experienced firsthand their magic. From that day on, he vowed to himself to feed the defilers’ hearts to the mother earth in a way of atoning for all of their sins.

In his early wanderings about the world he was quite innocent in his dealings and that almost cost him his life. He has learned a bit about his surroundings and the dryland’s people and their customs. He is still very friendly but is much more cautious in his business.

He is many times seen as crude and savage. This image is given at first hand by his look and is quickly confirmed in his speech. The common tongue is new to him. He will sometimes lack terms for expressions and become very mad about it. When that happens he has been known to babble in his mother tongue for a bit just to see if anyone understands him.

He has come across undead in the past and the memory of it just brings on the shivers. He almost died in that adventure and since then has developed a deep fear for the undead. When the situation is such that he cannot avoid it, then he will be very uptight about the whole matter and will go into violent fits when in contact with them.
