In the maiden voyage of the third Starship
Enterprise, the NCC-1701-B, an Excelsior class Starship with Pavel Chekov, Montgomery
Scott, and the legendary Captain James T. Kirk as special guests. But this maiden voyage
turns to disaster when the unready ship has no choice but to rescue two transport ships
from a weird energy ribbon, called the Nexus. The Enterprise manages to save some
of the ship's passengers, thanks to the help of Captain James T. Kirk, but at the cost of his life
Seventy-eight years later, Captain Jean-Luc Picard and the crew of
the Enterprise-D find the renegade scientist Soran, who is destroying
entire star systems to enter the Nexus. Only one man can help Picard stop Soran's
plans and he has been killed seventy-eight years ago
