Just after the end of Star Trek II, the Enterprise and its crew are returning to earth to repair the ship, but when they arrive, they are shocked when they hear that the Enterprise will be scrapped.
Dr. McCoy starts to act weirdly, and Kirk discovers that he has Spock's essence, mind and thoughts so he is forced to steal his old ship back and fly to the Genesis planet to save his friend, but he are not the first one who arrive there.
