A human/ogre cross-breed, he's not quite one or the other. Outwardly, Noc bears the traits of an ogre: rough, thick skin; slightly malformed head and body; and a very muscular build (but still very humanoid looking). It is what is inside that counts. He possess an human intellect and the ability to make decisions for himself. Brown eyes, brown hair, and a reddish-brown skin color. His hair is very short, as ogres tend not to grow hair on their heads.

However, as he's two divergent species, there is always an internal conflict within. The human side tries to repress the ogre's violent and primitive tendencies, with varying results. It is said that when Noc is in battle, he fights like a man possessed until nobody is left standing. Its true, as his true ogre nature manifests itself, and the human side watches, sometimes in abject horror, as the ogre side demolishes everything in its path.

It is this conflict that makes him a loner. His battles are his own, and he does not want to involve anybody into something that they had no part of. Noc (use to) wander from town to town, like his adopted father, to fight for what he believes is right and to learn more, so that one day he can find peace within himself between the two battling sides.
