Laura's Set and Web Graphics Manager
Graphic Sites-- Sets
Siren Design. Site doesn't seem to be updated very frequently. Calm, simple, fast loading, spare-but-elegant sets. I particularly like
- Thorns and Roses, a gray, Art-Nouveau kind of theme--currently down
- Black and Gold Rose Set, a similar set with a black background and gold elements. -- also currently down
Andromeda's Studio Galaxy Sets has some very simple but attractive sets including floral, abstract, and color themes. Site hasn't been updated since June 1999.
- My favorite is Chinese Lotus, a beige/yellow set with red and green lotuses.
SandDancr Studios has some Art-Deco inspired sets, usually in bright colors. Hasn't been updated since I first discovered it. I'm fond of
- April Mornings on The Terrace, which is an art-nouveau style, simple set with a yellow background and a border and elements of bright colors with hummingbirds.
- Spring Arbor, which is a nice beige and cream set with orchids.
Moyra's Web Jewels, the first and the best, and the inspiration for most of the other artists on this list. A must-see. Updated monthly, but more often recently. Site is high tech so pages must be visted from their parent pages. My favorites are the
- in the Cultural group, the Ming Plum Set, which used to be on my About Me page.
- in the Nature group, the Silver Lotus Set,
- the Eden Set,
- the Lapis Peacock Set (although it IS sort of loud),
- the Tenderness Set (might be ideal for the Photo Album)
- and in the Contrasts group, the Sumptuous Set (although I don't think I'm bold enough to use it).
Angel's Web Graphics has an assortment of professional, elegant, and seasonal sets. It is updated weekly.
- Perennial Sunshine is a little too yellow but beautiful.
- Slice of Life, if I ever need a Tomato-themed page
- Swan Song, rather on the brown and large side but with an Art Nouveau touch
- Marshaline, with ugly colors but pretty Nouveau lines
Full Moon Graphics has a ton of neat page sets- some frilly, some mod, some very Dave McKean-inspired, to suit just about every taste. Updated weekly.
- Snow Jewels is currently on my Friends page;
- Enter the Magic, a nice blue fantasy set, although I would leave out the wide-eyed girl graphics.
- More Butterflies, black-background set with vibrant butterflies
- Osiris.
Web Design by Frog Frau, updated supposedly weekly but not in a long time, is one of the best.
- My favorites include the sublime Asian Mint,
- Caspian Sea (which is currently on my photos page),
- and Nouveau, an interface which is a little bold for me for very beautiful.
7 Rings, probably my very favorite site overall, as it is self-billed as "Art Nouveau Flavored Linkware." Also it updates about every two weeks.
- Morning Glow (a somewhat somber set of dark red morning glories on ochre),
- Tiffany's Light (with Tiffany lamps, all in purple), and
- Deco Delight (a pretty bold interface-style set in an orangy-red).
Deco-rations has an incredible new site design and some nice Art Deco inspired sets, as well as some sort of sixties-feel and some miscellaneous.
- Elegance is a nice set, and the
- New Year's Set has lovely graphics but would be pretty difficult to use, theme-wise.
Quest Graphics Design has a spare site design but some great sets in categories like Nature, Jewelry, Whimsical, and others. Doesn't seem to be updated very often.
- One of my favorites is Blue Nouveau, which is currently brokenbecause the site is undergoing an update and server change.
Suburban Designs has some nice, very professional sets to offer. Doesn't seem to be updated often. Graphics are passworded.
- glitzy interface, Starz Sonata
- and my favorite, Bubble Bobble.
Silver Star Designs has a few good sets. Updated sporadically but about once a month.
- China Town, a ready-to-wear site design with splash page and template page, all in blue.
- Mint Julep
- and RetroRaspberry Sorbet.
That Special Something has some etched sets that I really like. Hasn't been updated since 1998.
- Green Abstract, a pale green with snowflake shapes,
- and Sun and Moon, a beige-y yellow with, well, suns and moons.
Jaguarwoman Rare Web Design has some incredible stuff, including some in my favorite style like
- Art Nouveau Lily Pond 1, which seems to be missing,
- the recent reworking of it Verneuil Lily Pond,
- and Egypt (only sort of Nouveau-y),
- Hope of Iris, a nice floral set using frames
Moonlight Designs has some sets with JWW Waterhouse images. Doesn't seem to be updated regularly.
- Exactly one set I would use, but it's lovely. The site is passworded, so look for the green and white set on page four, Southern Magnolia.
QuietSiren Designs is mostly bordered backgrounds with some set additions. Has a lovely site design, however; seems to be updated quasi-monthly.
LuminEssence Studios has a variety of light and dark themed sets. The only one I really liked was
- "Retro," in the dark category.
Ann-S-Thesia, updated weekly (on Monday), has weird (just look at her site design), bright, delightful sets. A little loud for my taste, though.
Aspirations to Sweetness has a great page design, but the sets are a little bold for my taste.
- Into the Night is nice, though.
Dizzy Dog Graphics has an incredible site design and some awesome linkware. My favorites are
- The Tearoom, (literally the most beautiful page set I have ever seen)
- Celtic Serpents (the gray embossed),
- and Celtic Dragons (the green embossed).
Cove Designs has a about ten linkware designs that change fairly regularly.
- Try "Seascape"
- or "Sentimental Lilac"
Web-Therapy has an excellent page design and lots and lots of sets, but none of them particularly impressed me. Hasn't been updated since May 0f 1999.
Graphics By Peelee seems to be updated weekly and graphics are added monthly or so.
- Saigon Streets, a yellow Asian-inspired set
