page 6, panel 1: The Manticore's "flute" is in fact just a bone.

page ?, panel 4: Note that the globe bears no resemblance to Earth. (submitted by Shannon Patrick Sullivan)

page ?, panel 7: In myth, a unicorn can only be approached by a virgin (although usually only a virgin female). (submitted by Shannon Patrick Sullivan)

page 18, panel 4: Socrates was an ancient Athenian philosopher whose work involved the analysis of character and conduct. Timaeus, a later Greek, was a historian who helped shape the tradition of west Mediterranean history. There does not appear to be any connection between the two; however, Timaeus studied under a pupil of another Greek, Isocrates. Perhaps Rieber is mistaken in his reference? (submitted by Shannon Patrick Sullivan)

page ?, panel 5: A quatrain is a unit of four lines of verse. Epithalamium is a song or poem in honor of a bride and bridegroom. (submitted by Shannon Patrick Sullivan)

page 24: This is Death, one of the Endless, an anthropomorphic representation of one of the seven fundamental concepts of the universe (the others being Dream, Destiny, Desire, Destruction, Delirium and Despair). Tim met Death at the end of time in THE BOOKS OF MAGIC(m) #4; it was her intervention which prevented Tim's death at the hands of Mr E.(submitted by Shannon Patrick Sullivan)
