Panel 4: Mazaran found Tamlin's clothes where he had dropped them in Arcana: The Books of Magic Annual #1.

Panel 5: Foreshadowing!
Panel 6: The owl on Tim's notebook is Yoyo from the miniseries. Also notice Titania's key, Mr. Hunter on the left and the Phantom Stranger on the right.

Panel 1: Tam Lin is a character from a Scottish ballad of the same name. Web pages about the ballad are many and varied:
The Tam Lin Pages is the largest, and my favorite.

Panel 4: The Amadan's first appearance. The legend of the Amadan (his whole name is Amadan-na-Briona) originates from Galway, Ireland,
where he is also called the Fool of the Forth. The Amadan is one of the most dangerous faeries; his touch causes illness that leads to certain death, and he is able to shapeshift between an innocent child and a horrible beast (as you will see).

Panel 4: The events surrounding the faeries' permanent departure to Faerie were detailed in The Sandman #19.

Panel 5: Shirley Maclaine is an American actress and author who is noted for her weirdness; she believes in past lives and all sorts of
non-mainstream things.

Sascha Segan inspired me with his page, Suburban Mythos: The Books of Magic, and helped me begin these annotations.
Shannon Patrick Sullivan remembered where Tam Lin left his clothes in Arcana, and made some observations about Tim's notebook, the Amadan, and the Faeries' permanent absence from Earth.
