Xena must save Gabrielle from becoming Morpheus bride. Xena is trapped in her own dreams and had to fight the demons of her past to rescue Gabrielle.

My comment: This is an awesome episode. For the first time, Gabrielle discusses with Xena the issue of fighting. Gab learns from her, that it is better to run than to fight.

Xena is confronted with her evil past and has to fight against the demons and finally against her former self to save Gabrielle from being sacrificed to Morpheus.

When Gabrielle knows that she would be sacrificed, when she kill someone, she relies to Xena's advice and uses her barding skills.

The scene at the end where Xena and Gabrielle sit by a lake is one of the most poetic whole season. Xena gives Gabrielle an insight on her inner war...brilliant acting....(and we all thought that Gabrielle is the only bard)
