Bloodstar:
The Sun
Bloodstar is a type M3 V star--that is a relatively bright (3), main sequence (V) red star (M).
It has a solar mass of approximately 0.34 (it has about 34% of the mass of Sol, Earth's sun).
It has four "planets" (all right, technically two).
The planet closest to the sun is essentially a small rockball--something like a large, extremely hot asteroid. In fact, it is technically not a planet at all. But we have so few planets in our system, we call it one anyway.
The second planet is HandL, the only world in the star's biozone (this is the region where water can exist in liquid form). HandL is the only inhabited world in the system.
The third planet is a small gas giant. It has a number of moons of varying sizes.
The fourth "planet" is an asteroid belt. Limited mining is done here.
