Well... it finally happened. Mad Psyence Laboratories finally got a hardware upgrade. Thanks to Rev. Vinux, Lonsome Biker Dave, and Profesor Medfly, I now have a computer from this decade to work with. In my time, I have owned a Radio Shack Color Computer with 16K memory and cassette tape file storage; an Apple IIe with 128K and a 5.25" floppy drive; an Amiga 500 with 2 meg, and a sidecar with a 68030 processor running at 40mhz, and a 160 meg hard drive (on which I've done most of the work on this site); and my current box, a 486 DX 2 100 with 16 meg of RAM and 430 megs of HD space. Four... count 'em... FOUR whole upgrades in 15 years. However, it is my opinion that one must use what one has, and not sit around talking about what one COULD do if only one had more of whatever. On the other hand, sculpting in marble with only a wooden malet can be frustrating, so again, I want to thank my Yeti bretheren for providing me with a chisel.
I have had my new computer for about a week and I've spent most of my waking hours creating material for, and redesigning The Fifth Temple of SKIPPIKS Website. Although that hasn't been the only thing I've occupied my time with lately. Jonnee Flash and I did some consulting for !DANCeReGINA!, who are in pre-production for their debut music video. I am sure more information on this will be upcoming on the band's website, to which one may link to within the Skippy Links page of this website. Look for a revamped !DANCeReGINA! website coming soon.
Speaking of websites, Profesor Medfly Invasion (The) continues to grow in its ordered chaos. The Profesor works tirelessly, late into the night, to bring you the intimate details of the mind of an insane genius. Who else but a mad RevDok would take the time to digitally document the exact number of flushes in 2000 Flushes, and transcribe the entire public radio broadcast of an interview with Jennifer Rigley of JenniCam fame. Only Profesor Medfly, dear friends. Link to his site from the Skippy Links page as well.
Also making the news... St. Lushus has moved his Fifth Temple of Almost Unlimited to Big D now, completing the reunification of the SBC. He's also the newest driver for Team Black Fire and promises to up the ante at future SBC sponsered events. All of us here at The Fifth Temple of SKIPPIKS would like to welcome St. Lushus to his new home. May his toilet never overflow and his furniture stay in one piece.
Also recently making the move to Big D is Tom Terrific. Tom Terrific is also a founding father of the SBC and Team Black Fire, as well as High Cook of The Fifth Temple of Outdoor Grilling.
I suppose that about does it for now. Tune in next time for MORE Skippyville Shadows!!!
