the immunity syndrome

2C19

Feb 13th, 1993: GOOD.
Another bridge-bound adventure, a la The Corbomite Maneuver. This time, however, the focus is on Spock. He is totally central to the episode, but he does not provide the salvation. It is actually McCoy who inspires Kirk to come up with a way to save the ship. This is also what happened in The Corbomite Maneuver.
This episode also shows a fascinating side to the three-way friendship. Spock and McCoy are especially nasty to each other. Nasty and hurtful.
The FX/visuals of this episode are hugely memorable. Containing some of the images that spring first to mind when one thinks of Star Trek.
Characters: Spock, Kirk, McCoy
Scotty
Chekov, Uhura, Kyle

    Nobody else appears.
    Best Actor: Shatner.
This episode is an essay on perspective. Some of the conversations on the happenings make you really step back and see the bigger picture. It's also about protection: the crew protects the galaxy; Spock protects McCoy (by taking his place); Kirk is protected from fatigue by stimulants.
This is an adventure. And a hugely enjoyable one, too. Strange title, though.
