Rob Zombie, Madonna May Team Up For Horror Flick
After his "Crow" project failed to get off the ground, Rob Zombie may get a little help from Madonna in stepping back into the film ring.
Madonna may co-produce "The Legend of the 13 Graves," a horror film that Zombie is negotiating to write and direct.
The films plot centers around a group of road-trippers traveling through America who wind up encountering a suitably sick and twisted family.
While Zombies previous film experience includes conceptualizing and animating the psychedelic scene in "Beavis And Butt-Head Do America," this will officially mark his writing and directorial film debut. Zombie had been tapped to write and direct the third installment of "The Crow" series, which has since fallen by the way-side. He does however have a string of video directing credits that date back to his White Zombie days, and recently added to it with his clip for "Living Dead Girl."
If the Zombie horror film does comes to fruition, Madonna and her partner, Maverick Records president Guy Oseary, are expected to co-produce the movie for Madguy films in conjunction with New Line Cinema.
Production is expected to begin later this year.

Your love gives me

Every time I turn around
Whiplash
The impact knocks me down

Madonna and Ricky Martin To Team Up For Duet
Madonna and Latin pop sensation Ricky Martin will be recording a song together for his upcoming album due out on May 25. The future duet was spawned when the two met backstage at the Grammy awards ceremony in February, where both artists performed and took home awards. Last week, Martin flew to Los Angeles to meet with Madonna to discuss the collaboration, which Madonna's "Ray Of Light" producer and artist in his own right William Orbit will be helming. There's no word yet on what the track or the album will be titled. It has also been reported that the former Menudo member will be Madonna's date on Oscar night, but neither camp could confirm it at press time. The Academy Awards will be held on Sunday at the Dorothy Chandler Pavilion in Los Angeles

MARCH ISSUSE OF ESQUIRE UNVEILD
THE PROMISE of a Madonna appearance seems to drag out the crowds in full force. It happened the other night at Astra in Manhattan's D&D Building, where Madonna, Mathilde Krim and David Granger unveiled the March issue of Esquire, which contains Newsday reporter Laurie Garrett's massive cautionary article on the new AIDS drug combination therapies. It reminds us - forcefully - that we should not assume the crisis is over. "There is no cure for AIDS. There is no cure for AIDS. There is no cure for AIDS," Madonna emphasized during her remarks. The crowd was eclectic and electric, from New York Timesman Stuart Elliott, to Broadway's Keith Sherman, to POZ magazine's James Dale, to Detroit's high-society chronicler Michael McWilliams, to gossip queen Cindy Adams. The event also highlighted the American Foundation for AIDS Research's aggressive ad campaign. But of course, even though it was serious business, the focus was on Miss M, what she wore, how she looked, who she was with. The always surprisingly petite star wore a sparkly black Versace ensemble, sported a fresh, zingier hairstyle, was accompanied by her usual entourage - Ingrid Casares, Luigi Murenu (he was responsible for that pretty new 'do), Liz Rosenberg. Madonna did all she had to do with charm and commitment. It was one of NYC's better, briefer, mini-galas, with lots of cheerful networking.
