About Lon Chaney Sr.
Lon Chaney Senior, (4/1/1883 - 8/26/1930) 'The Man of 1,000 Faces' left an indelliblemark on silent films, and died at their twilight. He took most of his makeup secrets to his grave.
This image is from 'London After Midnight,' a lost film that is only
known by a handful of stills. A stylized version of his image was
used as the logo of 'Creature Features,' a WGN Chicago Saturday night horror
show of the 1970's.
