Lon Chaney Junior (2/10/1906 - 7/12/1973, real name Creighton Tull Chaney) was launched by Universal as a star big enough to fill his father's shoes. While his yak-haired Wolfman character Lawrence Talbot is a classic, he was never really enough of an actor to pull that off.

Into the 1950's Chaney made some really horrible B-movies that can still be found in bargain bins.
