Many of my tales are set in the state of Arizona, where I have made my home for many years. Very often the fruits of my travels directly inspire a story. I take lots of pictures when sight-seeing. Here are photographs of several locations which figure prominently in my fiction, or have suggested the setting for a story.
Cathedral Rock, scene of the story "Cathedral Rock", also playing a role in the climax of The Journey of Jacob Bleek.
Tonto Natural Bridge State Park is the beautiful and creepy setting of "Under the Natural Bridge".
The rather modern ghost town of Fairbank, by the San Pedro River near Sierra Vista, inspiration for "The Diary of Philip Wyler".
The ghost town of Millville, also by the San Pedro, which suggested "The Ghost Town".
The grotesque rock formations, or "hoodoos", of Chiricahua National Monument, appearing in "Among the Hoodoos".
Lost Canyon, with its Indian ruins (some barely visible in the rock shelter at top), which inspired "A Chance Result".
