As I said, it's simply the best chat I've ever seen. You might of course be of a different opinion, or might want to know more before trusting my words, so I suggest you check it out (if you're familiar with HTML-based chats, you might get a bit lost without a bit of information) or read on...
Alamak is in general a free chat, however, it needs to be financed some way or other. In this case it allows people to pay for the use. Since that strategy wouldn't make too much sense, paying users get certain priviliges. Those people are known as operators and besides their extra-gimmicks they try to keep alamak a nice place to come to and have a good time. (Yes, they do have means to make sure... so be a nice person when you come there :) and you'll have a grat time!)
I won't get into too much detail about these things, as there's plenty of information within the alamak-pages. But if you want to fade things, I am afraid you'll have to pay for it! (and it really looks good, doesn't it... huh?)
I promised you some tools and backdoors, so here they are! Note that they do require some JavaScript, so there's not much use looking for them if you haven't JavaScript or are one of those careful people turning it off when browsing pages. In that case you can use the links at the bottom. They will log you in on the main room in each of the servers as 'backdoor'. You can then pick a name you like better by typing /nick NewNickName in the text entry field. But I am sure you'll figure it out! Please do change your name, as other's won't be able to use these direct entries if any user keeps that name, plus of course it's very boring ;)
The JavaScript backdoors are of course a bit more advanced. They allow you to enter a nickname and to selct a room of your choice before entering a chat. I do apologize to all registered users and operators, but if I would provide forms for you to enter your passwords I could simply send them to my e-mail (I've seen people doing this pefore, and quite successfully, too) so I simply won't. I am sure you know how to log in, anyways :)
My alamak-tools will provide some help for you when chatting. Some of you might remember that I tried this before. Back then I was using Netscape 3.0, and most of the features I would have needed have been disabled for securety reasons. I was hoping for NN4.0 to allow people to program friendly things, but someone had the brillian idea to 'enable data-tainting' (I suggest that whoever is responsible for that stays far away from wherever I am...) and introduce scripting...
Most of the features will be of help for all users, but I included some advanced OP commands. Again, you will have to login for yourselves...
One final word before I start... I am known (or not...) as Alexander on Alamak. You can find me on Server 1 in the Hot_Tub. If things go wrong here, please let me know, but don't forget that nobody forces you to use my page :) Other than that I am always willing to talk to people, since this is what chat rooms are made for. I still couldn't quite decide to register as an OP, so the Nickname can be used by whover wants to impersonate me, but don't even think of trying it with my backdoors; it's a waste of time...
Alexander's backdoors and tools
It really is as easy as it looks. Just type in a nickname and selcet your server and one of the rooms offered, press the 'Chat' button and wait until you're logged in.
That's for the simple backdoors. If you want to use my tools, you will have to give some further information. Normal will load the most basic version, offering you some of the basic commands, Operator will give you access to the special OP commands and no colours will prevent the colour help from being loaded (as it is quite long). If you are a non-registered user or a non-operator click on 'Chat with tools' and you will be logged in. Press 'Tools with password' if you need to supply a password to log into Alamak. The main chat-page will be loaded. The tools will load as soon as you press the 'Tools' button which will appear in the new window. This is to make sure you're logged in before the loading of my program begins.
I had to find out that the alamak-chat pages do not allow for my tools to be working properly. The tool-buttons have been disabled until I find a way to solve the problem!
Here are the links leading you to the main rooms on each of the servers. Please do change your nickname after arriving!
HackChat Alamak ( Netscape 2.0 - 4.0 )
Alamak ( IE and other browsers )
HackChat ( #SG ) Alamak ( Netscape 2.0 - 4.0 )
Alamak ( IE and other browsers )
The above links have been compile with the Alamak Direct tool, which allows you to save your own back doors! It will also allow registeed users to include their passwords!
