The Vaults

 

 

The Vaults comprises of three main valleys; the Upper Vaults, the Middle-Valley, and the lower Valley. To the northeast of the Vaults lie the Ice Plains of Wyr, beyond which lies the only ritual circle in the region.

 

 

 

 

 

At the bottom of the Upper Vaults lie the iron and coalmines. The Middle-Valley contains the major settlements from which the Nasties originate; Gladstone and Gor Grod Razza, looming over which are Yvel tower and Bardel tower. Gladstone is a respectable village, home to the humans of the Vaults, and has a number of monuments - the Church of Redemption, statue to Finn the One-Eye, and the Reds' family mansion at which all of the council meetings are held. Gor Grod Razza houses the demi-humans of the Vaults - Orcs, Trolls, Goblins and Dwarfs, and is famous for its circus. At the center of the Valley is the Tinkerer's tower. At the top of the Lower Valley lies the gold and mithril reserve mines.

 

The Ice Plains of Wyr were a result of a ritual accident involving a warp portal, which the ritualists failed to close and as a result were all slain following the arrival of several gribbleys. And so the portal remains open with all attempts to close it failing, allowing unlimited numbers of gribbleys to enter the Vaults from the warp, most die due to the harsh climate in the Ice Plains, however, some inevitably survive.
