The look-out deck comprises of a little covered shelter for my hamster to snuggle in... boy, does he love it! There is a nice ladder for him to climb up/down (or up for that matter - depends on how creative you want to be). What I don't quite like is the lack of space for my hamster to rest on (as pictured by the drawing of the hamster on the picture above). The shelter can be easily removed so that the entire deck and parts can be washed.
The look-out deck goes best with the Safari Home, but also has hooks where you can attach the Deck to the top of a plastic cage. I don't think the hook concept will work that well... but then I have never tried it before.
