Yes, every hamster's dream treadmill... but it has been my nightmare! There is definitely no doubt that my hamsters love the Big Wheel. It fits snugly into the Habitrail Home and even comes with a special metal hook for fixing the Big Wheel in an aquarium or other hamster cage. The Big Wheel is equipped with a vertical thumbscrew lock to stop the Wheel from turning. There is also a cool secret hideaway for hamsters to sleep in (which my hamsters hardly ever use - except when I hide food in it, of course).
However, the Big Wheel has been a NIGHTMARE for me - in terms of the noise it
generates. Whenever my fat (oops) big-sized hamster runs
on the Big Wheel, it will start to vibrate and rattle. Moreover, the axle of the
Big Wheel must be "oiled" to prevent the loud squeaks emanating every
night.
