All Nep’ta’le vessels are painted flat black and are very difficult to see against the background of space. If an enemy ship attempts to target a Nep’ta’le vessel without a sensor lock (ie the vessel did not spend at least on offensive EW point against the Nep’ta’le vessel) there is a -4 to hit penalty in addition to the normal double range penalty. Nep’ta’le Gunships are run entirely from the bridge. If C&C is destroyed, the entire crew is killed and the ship is out of the battle. Nep’ta’le Gunships are not designed for long missions. Space within the ship is devoted almost entirely to various systems, with little left over for crew and supplies. Missions lasting longer than 72 hours will degrade combat effectiveness.
