When I first arrived at the Faire, I watched the Turtle Races. This was very
funny and I liked the turtles. After that I waited for Robin Hood to arrive.
While I was waiting on the Grassy Knoll I met Little John. He was handsome.
He was eating a Turkey Leg and was nice enough to pose for this picture with
me.
After I met Little John and saw Robin Hood fight the Sheriff, I went to
Story Book Theater. They were telling the story of "The Tortoise and the
Hare". Here is a picture of them about to start the race. The Rabbit was
really fast as she ran past us and the Tortoise was funny. But even though
the Rabbit was fast, she got tired really quick and... well you know the
rest ;)
When I left Story Book Theater, I spotted the kids rides. This ride is one
of my favorites; the giant Swing. Two guys help you get on and buckle you in.
Then they pull on a couple of ropes and make you go around and around and around.
Boy, I'm getting dizzy just thinking about it.
After I rode the giant Swing, I got to ride the Camel! The camel was really neat.
I got to ride him all by myself. You can do those kinds of things when you're
a Princess you know. It was a quick camel ride because I had to hurry and
meet the Queen.
Here I am at the Queen's Court. I was invited to see the Queen for a very
special ceremony. She invited all the brave Knight's and Princesses
to her court to be Knighted. Here is a picture of me being honored by the
Queen. She gave me a Princess Ribbon to wear on my chest. God Save the Queen!
This Princess stuff can make you pretty hungry. So I decided it was time for
some lunch. I got a Turkey Leg like the one Little John was eating earlier. It looked
really good. Besides, if Little John was eating one, it must be good, and
it was! I couldn't finish it all, though. I have to watch my Pricess figure
you know ;)
After Lunch I met up with my good friends, Robin Hood and Maid Marion. We got
to chat a bit and they posed for this picture with me. They invited me to
their Wedding later at the Maypole Common. "Of course I'll be there!" I told
them. The Princess Julie just loves weddings.
I did attend Robin and Marion's wedding later at the Maypole. It was a lovely wedding. The sheriff tried to ruin it but Robin tought him a lesson. After the wedding I got to see the Joust. I cheered for Little John. He was so cool in his armor. Well, he probably was pretty HOT in his armor but he looked really good. And he won the Joust, too!
The Sheriff and his men were defeated, Robin Hood and Maid Marion were
married, Little John won the joust, and the Shire of Sterling was once again
a peaceful and safe place for a Princess. I enjoyed my day at the New York
Rennaisance Fair and I hope you enjoyed me sharing it with you. If you should
happen to see me at next year's fair, please stop and say hello to me...
Princess Julie :)
