USS Iomega INFO PAC
NX 3000
In early 2367 a lone Borg "Cube" was set on a corse to sector 001. Its
final destination was Earth. But at Wolf 359 a fleet of 40 or so ships
stood
to stop them. The armada hardly stopped the Borg ship and most or all of
the
ships were destroyed. Once the USS Enterprise 1701-D stopped the Borg
invasion the "graveyard" of ships at Wolf 359 was taken to a near by ship
yard. Being that hardly any of the ships were intact Star Fleet wanted
to
scrap them. But the Foreman of the Ship Yard wouldn't hear of it. He
and his
crew worked day and night, taking bits and pieces of the left over ships
and
making them into a new and whole ship. Finally on Star Date 8902.14
three
Miranda class star ships, four Constellation class star ships, and 2 New
Orleans class star ships were finished. Each had been modified slightly
and
had been refit with a heavier offensive and defensive capabilities. Star
Fleet didn't quite trust the stability of the new ships but agreed to
accept
them, but they would be dubbed experimental. The Iomega has shown much
promise and it's capabilities exceed that of a "normal" New Orleans class
ship.
