ORIGINS

Here you will find the story of Zenith's birth. Zenith is the dragon that decided she didn't want any of the candidates on the Hatching Ground and wanted someone else instead. The Q Continuum stepped in as they always do and brought her to where she wanted to be.

The cavern hummed with excitement as the golden egg cracked open to reveal the tiny dragon inside. She creeled in hunger as she began searching for the one she would spend the rest of her life with. Yet, she wasn't there. There were many worthy people, but the one she wanted wasn't there. Someone did catch her attention however. This young girl spoke with her now.

I know who you want and I know why she isn't here. Come with me and I will take you to her when it is time.

You don't think they'll notice I'm gone? the dragon asked.

I know they won't notice. We'll go between to her when you're ready to handle the truth.

The dragon moved towards this girl who took her in her arms. The dragon looked up at her. This girl was going to help her find the one, the one she had to join with.

Tell me your name, little dragon, said the woman.

I am Zenith.

The girl looked up at the others around her.

"Her name is Zenith!" she cried. Everyone cheered. The girl's long dark hair flowed over her shoulders and almost to the floor as they knelt there together. She had black eyes, devoid of the color that swirled in Zenith's own eyes. The golden dragon creeled. I'm hungry, she said plaintively.

I know, said the girl. Plates of meat were already being handed to the new hatchlings and their riders. This is going to be difficult, thought the girl to herself. How am I going to bring this dragon to Jaylene? Why did Q talk me into this? How are we going to train Jaylene?
