Marrik, son of Morak, was born into House Hurric in 2341. During his childhood on
Kronos, he was fond of hunting Grishnar Cats on the Hurric Reserve on the Southern
Islands.
He entered the Imperial Military Academy and excelled, being of the Line Hurric, it
was predicted that Marrik would join the Imperial Marines. Marrik developed a fond love
for Tanks and excelled as a Academy Armor Commander, and soon commanded the
Academy Armor Squadron. It was decided that Marrik would be transferred to Leader of
Klin school after graduation.
In 2356 2ndLt.Marrik was assigned to the 2nd Armor Platoon of 4/16th Armor
Regiment. His leadership skills improved and his naturally aggressive attitude, soon
earned him a promotion to Lieutenant and an assignment as executive officer of Delta
Company.
Marriks father Morak, was a Recon Marine, and Marrik wanted to follow in his fathers
boot prints. In 2360 He was transferred to the Recon School at Mastocal, where he met a
fellow Hurric named M’Tov. Marrik graduated with full honors and was assigned as
commander of the newly formed 312 Recon Team, aboard the IMV Genestealer with
Lt.M’Tov as his XO, where he soon rose to the rank of Captain and command of 6th
Division’s Recon Battalion.
Marrik spent several years leading successful forays into neutral space and into the inner territories of the Empires enemies, earning several citations. Although earning the respect of his commanders, these distant reconnaissance missions kept Marrik's promotion prospects bleak.
In 2368 Marrik returned to Imperial Space and was detached to the frontier 4th Fleet, at the time under the command of
Adm.Khur zantai-H’Nter. It was here that he would meet two navy lieutenants named
K’Paal and K’Joh Reshtarc from the IKV Stormbringer.
In short time Marrik attained the position of Legion Marine Force Leader, and would
command an entire Regiment of the 4th Fleets troops, and earn a battlefield promotion to
Colonel. During this period the Leadership of Line Reshtarc was taken by his friend
Captain K’Paal sutai-Reshtarc. Marrik was outspoken in his support for the Reshtarc,
forming an alliance between his Hurric supporters and K’Paals’. This earned Marrik the
enmities of several within House Hurric, but the respect of House Reshtarc, and
K’Paal soon honored Marrik with the position of his Cha’dich.
Within one year, the Hurric had made attempts to silence Marrik, and attempted to
discomadate him from the Line, Marrik, before a Fleet gathering, announced his
separation from the Hurric, and asked K’Paal to allow him entrance into Line Reshtarc.
K’Paal agreed and even promoted Marrik to command the Royal Guard of the Great
Line.
Soon Colonel Marrik sutai-Reshtarc was given the command of a newly built post,
Strikebase Vengeance. From here he would control the Legion Marine Force as well as
two full Divisions of Imperial Troops as well as his personal unit, “Marriks Maulers”.
During the Krinosian summer of 2372 the linelord of the Reshtarc, K’Paal, went mad
for unknown reasons. His insanity caused him to execute several of Marriks subordinate
officers serving on Behacor Prime, the homeworld of the Reshtarc. Marrik, outraged by
these and other actions, took the opportunity to break off ties with K’Paal. In his outrage,
K’Paal murdered several of Marriks supporters and took his mate’s and family hostage, a
most dishonorable act for a Klingon. These actions by K’Paal forced Brig.MalaH, current
commander of the 4th Fleet, to order Marrik to put an end to K’Paal’s reign.
There were other concerns to deal with at the same time, K’Joh, once a close friend,
now became anther enemy. His renegade fleet and that of Marriks soon fought a costly
battle over the Kodus III supply base. Marrik’s force prevailed and soon moved on to
capture K’Paal.
Marrik, his closest supporters M’Tov and M’Pak, with a company of Armored Combat
Troops, led a clandestine assault on the Iron Palace at Behacor Prime. After a short but
violent battle, K’Paal was captured, his supporters were slain and Marrik stood alone as
Linelord of the Reshtarc Line.
joHwI’ Marrik, leads the Line from both the Mempa Sector and Strikebase Vengeance,
leaving a strong force of loyal troops to occupy both Behacor Prime and Vengeance.
Recent battles in the Triangle against the Dominion and the IKS, and a civil war within the neighboring Lorenssith leading to a military build up along the Mempa borders and a Security Occupation within the Vosta Sector, have kept things interesting in the new lords reign. Thus far the Line remains stable under Marrik, but things never stay the same for long.
For service to the Empire in recent actions, Marrik joH was recently named Lord of the Mempa Sector, and Military Sector Commander by the Emperor Kahless. Although the Reshtarc have always controlled the sector, this is the first time the Emperor has made the position official by proclamation.
