#3 Goldeneye
Although first-person shooters have never been that high on my list of favorite genres, the James Bond influence drew me to it. I was pleased to find a great game! The main differences between Goldeneye and other first-person shooters is the mission objectives and stealth.
Unlike games like Turok and Doom, Godeneye doesn't have you running around blindly shooting at everything that moves. If you do, you may find yourself being overwelmed by a deluge of Soviet forces! No, you must sneak around killing each gaurd discreetly and quietly. The weapon of choice to accomplish this is the silenced PP7. A quick shot to the head when they don't know you're there takes out all but the most heavily armored foes! Mission objectives in each stage require you to manipulate the environment to suit your needs and accomplish your missions. To make things more complicated, you must keep civilians safe from harm.
Another great thing about this game is the multi-player feature. Not since Mario Kart 64 has a game's mult-player mode been such a large selling point. Honestly, the multi-player feature for both Goldeneye and Mario Kart 64 were the main reasons I bought them! My brother, father, and I have spent many an hour blasting away at each other with shotguns, AK-47s, and sniper rifles (See? Killing CAN be a family experience!:).
As if this wasn't enough, the added feature of cheat codes gives Goldeneye a HUGE replay factor. I STILL play Goldeneye (I just got the elusive invincibility code last week! I've had the game for over a year!). Once you really master this game, you can challenge yourself (for example, you can try to beat a level on 00Agent difficulty with Enemy Rockets enabled!) It's even fun to enable invincibility and infinite ammo and just go crazy blasting everything in sight! It's a blast! This game is THE first-person shooter IMHO.

Mult-Xenia
In multi-player mode set on three players and go to the character selection screen. Choose Xenia as player three. Exit, change the number of players to four and start the game. Now players three and four will be Xenia!
