Too bad they haven't been invented yet.
For the merely mortal, the silicon chip offers an answer. The latest in mecha computer games are the fix the Gearhead/Mech-head/Mecha-head needs. The sim game is the closest one can ever get to actually flying fifty tons of lethal, combat-ready mecha into the inviting oblivion of mutually-assured destruction. Short of actually building one, that is.
But for gaming purists who think Surround Sound, 3D graphics, and force feedback are for sissies, nothing can beat that biological VR system called imagination. It's RPGs, or nothing at all.
