Samhain

Samhain is a special night to celebrate the dead. The spirits of loved ones are able to come back to this plane of existance, briefly, to celebrate with us. Even though it has to do with such a morid topic, there is no morning, instead, there is feasting and rejoicing.

Not all of the dead are nice and happy, that is why the tradition of Jack-o-lanterns was created. The Druids believed that the Jack-o-lanterns would scare away malevolent spirits that might try to do the living harm.
