Pathways by Richard D. Asplund Jr.
Sparks of light collide before me
Now the path I walk can be clearly seen
In the darkness I thought I was content
But alas I was not, my life spent
Wasted hoping and dreaming that some day my time would come
But finally it has come to this and my time has come
Duty and Honor, Truths and Dares
In a never ending search for she who cares
My life continues forward ever forward into the night
Powers given down from god thrusting me into the light
Ever fighting the darkness in my soul and the light that blinds
Ever knowing these gifts from the almighty are ties that bind
In Duty and honor forward I tread
In this Duty and Honor that I dread
The pathways I travel are dark and solemn
But this is my destiny, the fate of the fallen
