The Venue

Weyrside Beach
Wide sweeping steps flow in a cascade to the water's edge like a river frozen in time, particularly at high tide. The sandy bottom of the lake flows out at a gentle angle at first, before dropping off suddenly to the depths of the huge lake, like the edge of a shelf, the darkening color of the water betraying the changes.
On the side further from the Hold, a wide expanse of beach spreads out. Reflecting like perpetual stars and winking in coy beckoning, the sand is almost silky smooth, erosion preventing grasses appearing and thickening at the peak of the rise of land to the higher levels of land.
Spring comes early in the south, the trees and bushes going from their dark green winter state to full colorful bloom in only a sevenday or two.  Birdsong can be heard from every tall tree and a myriad of swarming insects fly from flower to flower.

The Eggs

1001 Arabian Nights Egg
The entire surface of this egg is a jumble of images, the colors a mixture of burnished yellow, fiery vermilion and royal purple throughout. Carpets appear to fly between smoky apparitions curling out of lamps, while caves filled with gold spill across the surface.

A Blue Egg
It's a blue egg.

A Brown Egg
It's brown.

A Green Egg
It's a green egg.

A Purple Egg
It's a purple egg.

A Red Egg
It's a red egg.

Cluttered Child's Room Egg
Scattered toys litter every available space, creating a colorful clutter across the shell of this egg.  Discarded playthings, each are placed haphazardly around the room except for one special toy that holds a special place in a child's heart.

Freshly Baked Bubbly Egg
You can almost see the wispy white waves of steam curling about the ovoid, as if the scents of a freshly baked bubbly is wafting its way across the egg's surface. Light brown tones, like freshly crushed cinnamon, sprinkle in between the steamy clouds.

Magical Beanstalk Egg
Verdant growth swallows the shell of this large egg until there is nothing but the green upon green chaos that seems to never end.  Vines twist and turn around each other, making it impossible to tell where one ends and the other begins.  Only cautious exploration of the thickened mass will truly reveal what's hidden inside.

Medieval Germanic Village Egg
Cobblestones pave a path through this sleepy village, small cottages lining both sides in a provincial pattern.  Peace seems to slip easily through the darkened lanes while oil lamps flicker invitingly along the river, but there are troubles that lurk in the still shadows, preparing to slink into the each slumbering home.

Nine Lives Egg
Lovely orange swirls wrap around the curvature of the egg like the stripes of a feline. Soft splotches of white pantomime the fluffiness of fur against the surface and one can almost hear a purr beneath the shell.

Old Italian Storefront Egg
Centuries old granite blocks stack upwards to form a small, peaceful shop in a quite village, its large window displaying its hand-carved wares.  Quite windows peek up from the top floor, the homey rooms for the kind-hearted creator of childhood toys.

Provincial French Village Egg
There is no excitement of glamour that surrounds the steady decor of this egg.  Routine marks each cobblestone and doorway of this provincial town, happy in its isolation from the rest of the world.  What is calm and serene to most of its inhabitants can be binding and frustrating to others.  Perhaps there's something more out there.

Roiling Flames Egg
Angry colors of red, vermilion and scarlet clash wildly across the egg's surface. There is a miasma of roiling colors baked upon the shell which ignites over the charcoal gray background, and flames it to a brilliant glow of sunfire.

Second Star to the Left Egg
Silent black surrounds the entirety of this small egg, but it is the twinkling of millions of tiny pinpoints of light that keep it from looking desolate.  Each one of those stars is surrounded by worlds that one could only guess at.  A brilliant white flashes and flares, seeming to draw one closer while dawn's soft glow shimmers on the horizon.

Sky's the Limit Egg
Yellow globs of sunlight explode all over the egg, the colors intermixed with excitable streaks of purple, whisking all around the curvature. There is unbridled spirit upon the shell and the colors vivaciously attest to the energy within.

Tiny Toy Box Egg
Small and round, cobalt blue slivers over the slightly worn shell of this egg.  Polished gold shimmers near the apex, a clasp that protects the precious secrets held within.  What once could have been words has faded into mysterious white marks, but perhaps the miniature British flag painted on one side offers a glimmer of a clue to what awaits inside.

The Offerings

Amulet
At the end of a white cord dangles a golden spiral. Inside that spiral is an Amethyst amulet. It shines in any sort of light and is a rare piece of jewelry.

Antique Master's Knot
A double cord of Herder's yellow and white entwine together in a double loop. The colors, however, are faded and grayed. One loop even seems to be missing its yellow parts... or is it that the yellow is so old it appears to be white? A golden tassle, which obviously is missing much of its string, hangs limply from the top. Despite the knot's obvious venerable state, the string is still strong and kept more or less free of dust.

Bib
A flowing, tent sized bib, fashioned in the most stylish colors of pink, orange and yellow. Green polka-dots cover the front, and the lacings that tie around the neck are adorned with frills, beads and bows. The 'bib' part, is fashioned with a tinny bell at the very bottom of the bib, and has twirly and springy lacing surrounding either side of it.

Black Diamond Bracelet
This bracelet is marked with the insignia of the Smithcraft Hall, and is wrought with the finest precision. Black diamonds, found amongst the long rusted remains of a ship in some forgotten cavern of the ancients at Southern, decorate the outer band at equal intervals, sparkling with dark fire. It's made from the finest, high polished steel available, and is fastened with an intricate, tiny little clasp.

Black Diamond in the Rough
Well, there isn't much other way to describe it. Yet, one who knows diamonds may see its flawless gleam. Flawless, and huge. It's about half the size of it's owner's fist, shining at all portions that jut in odd angles, as it has never been cut, only washed off. Dark elegance is offset by the faintest glint of light that, just for a moment, looks like a dragon. But the image is elusive.

Can't Sleep Chain
This chain was made to serve as anything. Necklace, belt, doubled over as a bracelet, and probably more things. Instead of the usual chain links, though, Can't sleep, wherries'll eat me, repeats over and over, attaching together to form a long chain. A clasp that allows for easy opening and closing has been fixed in between two of the phrases.

Carnation Slippers
Flittering feathers fluff flashily in an over-exuberance of cotton-soft pink; slippers are dyed, soft as a baby's bum, delicate carnation-hue layering tip of toe to curve of heel and lingering a whitish pale on the inner, down-lined slip. Wherry feathers, too, have been stained an almost gaudy strawberry flush, darker bands still evident beneath the tint and fastened where shoe's traditional tongue would lie; comfortable footwear a novelty for any fashion guru.

Chipped Chunky Candle
Waxy and smooth but for the barest bit of travel wear, thickened wax forms the make of a candle, chunky and stout. Normal creamy brown has been lifted -- or at least held at bay -- by a handful of colour, some sort; lavender and blue flow with little clarity and even less rhythm, despite the teasing lift of elegant lavender-scent that rises, mmm-mmm good.

Dented Bronze Ladle
Though it appears that this particular kitchen implemented has not been used for actual cooking, the slightly tarnished bronze ladle bears several dents and nicks as if it has gone through many ordeals. A big indentation on the bottom of the cup might seem to match perfectly with the curvature of a certain rider's head, and yet the old instrument appears to have been cared for lovingly as a contrast.

Dolphin Ring
Dolphins swim merrily along the center section this simple gold ring. Finely crafted, each dolphin is distinctive in shape from the tip of his nose to the curve of his dorsal fin, reflecting the actual uniqueness of the dolphin in real life. A faint wavy line appears mid point in the ring surface, resembling the line of the ocean, and each dolphin seems to be darting through this line every time the wearer moves his or her hand. The center dolphin has a small blue sapphire stone that sparkles from his eye and draws attention to the fact that he is dancing just above the water's surface while all the others swim below.

Draggie Bell
A medium sized bell, wrought of simple metals that can be fastened to a wher-hide cord. One would assume they'd need a rather large dog to fix the bell to, but no, this is made specially for a dragon. Indeed, it has a tiny engraving in it, of a dragon picking up his mid-day snack...but nah, this is used to warn wary residents and denizens of Pern that a very large and very...bubbly dragon is on their way and you'd better duck.

Draggie Pooper-Scooper
Two cylindrical poles are crisscrossed and bolted in the middle, with two bucket-sized 'scoops' at the end of their poles. Cushioned handles allow for comfort during even the most uncomfortable jobs. The 'scoops' close all the way, and can handle even the largest sized...um...draggie gifts.

Dragon Necklace
Silver seems to be in style, from necklace chain and clasp, to the pendant secured to the chain by an extra loop of metal sprouting from the figure's back. Barely over an inch in length, the pendant has been forged into the diminutive, three-dimensional form of a dragon. The metal is silvery-gray in hue, but a very practiced eye might be able to recognize the true color the dragon was meant to resemble-- a brown. Wings hide most of the dragon's body, tucked back against it as though the creature was frozen in rest. Four legs are discernable against the dragon's bulk; the hind legs seem more a carved out part of the body than their own limb, however the front are obviously separate, each with its own splayed "hand", supporting the dragon in its crouched position. The tail is curled against the dragon's body to prevent it from getting snagged and broken on clothing. Two silver-black stones are set into the wedge-shaped head, the dark surfaces reflecting prisms of blues and greens in direct light. Tapered nose is tilted up, as though the dragon is keeping an eye on its surroundings.

Dragon Sword Hilt
Apparently, this old sword has seen better days. In fact, the entire blade is either missing or has never been made. The grip may well have once been used as an ornament, despite its lack of a blade, for it's expertly carved into the highly detailed likeness of a bronze dragon, made of bronze metal. This old bronze has aged and dulled so that it no loner looks quite metallic, making it even more realistic, although it's been rubbed recently to its former shine in spots. Apparently this was someone's prized discovery. The long tail forms the handle, with the wings forming the foreguards, fantastically broad and swept back slightly to provide more protection. The hind legs sweep back toward the tip of the tail, forming the pommel, and the talons are made of darkly brilliant onyx. The forelegs are held close to the body beneath those slender, gleaming wings, and the shoulders move smoothly to the long neck, which points the head directly onto where the blade should be. Between the two neckridges is carved a minuscule rider, made so that he crouches over the neck and doesn't really get in the way of the swordholder's grip. Ruby eyes gleam on either side of that brilliant head, marking this bronze as being in the midst of flying Thread. Apparently, the blade should fit into the dragon's mouth, where stylized golden flames should cover it. It's a mystery why the maker apparently never finished/repaired this work, as it would well be any smith's masterpiece. Maybe the person died before it could be completed, or maybe he or she never had the chance due to time issues. Perhaps it was a commission that suddenly was cancelled, making it no priority to a busy smith despite the artistic compulsion to keep it near. Because age has done it relatively little harm apart from some faint wear and scratching, one could assume that it spent a long while protected, supporting the ornamental display theory. Someone has recently added tiny leather bands in the form of riding straps about the dragon's neck, between his final two neckridges, tiny cloth sacks looking like they ought to hold firestone for the flaming dragon, making him seem even more like a live dragon from some miniaturized Pern.

Firelizard-Carved Walking Stick
Pale, sturdy hardwood composes this well-worn item. At first the carvings are so pale and worn so smooth that they appear to be merely scratches left upon the surface. Yet, looking closely, one can see that tiny firelizards fly in swirling fairs on the rounded wood, spiraling playfully in their eternal antics. The stick is carved with what appears, by size and a few flecks of remaining paint, to be a gold firelizard at the very top, the queen perched nobly upon the branch of a redfruit tree. A tag dangles from the stick with the name Evrenn carved upon it.

Firelizard Earcuff
Fine gold metal has been carefully forged to form this delicate earcuff into the likeness of a queen firelizard. The small head is perched near one's cheek when worn, oval opals representing many-facedted eyes. The body curves siniuously along the outside of the ear, wings folded against it's back. Tiny, intricately hammered feet grip the edges of the ear, holding fast. The long, thin tail hooks firmly onto and over the top, tip hanging down near the ear.

Glossed Llama Statuette
Mismatched elegance marks the miniature mediocrity of solid statuette, handspan high and amusingly so -- for a llama, that is. What wood was rough has been sanded smooth, sleek over the 'bony' slope of fixed haunch and well-carved, narrow shoulders, despite the bits of coarsened feel lurking in throat's hollow, beneath that half-flopped tail, and in the chipped cups of animal's long, impish ears. Indeed, so cute, so glossy with lacquer over the golden-browns forming its grainy frame, so haphazardly carved yet with its own floppy-footed charm: how can one resist?

GloStar of the Sky
This prickly, potentially snagging trinket of chilly diamond seems practically impenetrable, fully clad in deep maple and tenderly softened honey sashes of delicate wood, but it makes up for its absolute, brittle stature with its slicing, fang-like vertices, which is much like a thorny barrage of defense. The elusive gem is furled and coiled radiantly into a most familiar shape: a dragon. Oddly, its transparent color is clear glassiness, not at all a traditional color for a /proper/ dragon, only one like Ruth, but perhaps.. No, there was no other like Ruth.. Or was there? The bits of wood are positioned accordingly in correspondence to where a creature enveloped in darkness would have its shadows, accenting the egg whites of such a soulful jewel with varied caps of caramel and damp sand. This dragon opens up like a young child's locket at a small hinge upon the twinkling, spine ridges, exposing a circular space to set tiny glows in. When closed, the glow exerts a marvelous array of gleams, especially at night. Like a charm, this dragon locket could be strung around a bracelet, necklace, or ring, whichever you prefer. It shines like a star in the sky, which it is, in fact. Someone's caught moonshine in a jar. (A star in a jar! I made another rhyme. 'Hope you like very much! With this little thing, you wouldnt really need glow baskets! Isn't it much prettier than a basket anyways? ^_^)

Gold Firelizard Knife
A knife sharp shining knife with a golden hilt. On the hilt a firelizard is carved. A blue stone serves as the eye on the firelizard.

Grab Bag
A faintly rumpled and used brown bag, tied at the tip with a pretty red bow. It's contents a mystery, but a faint jingling can be heard within. The sides bulge out with unknown, and perhaps promised goodies inside..one would just have to take the chance and find out what the bag beheld.

Happy Klah Box
This sound looking little box has been, by the looks of things, crafted by an Apprentice. There's nothing in its construction that gives it away, it's more the lack of any craft's seal, the lack of decoration that leads one to believe this about its somewhat humble origins. It shows a remarkable amount of workmanship however, for an apprentice made piece, and its highly polished dark mahogany surface is almost flawless.

Hatching Statue
Smooth and expertly crafted, a petite, charming duo of meticulously polished, fire-lizard figurines are tightly molded about one another, their artificial, gleaming pelts shimmering and glowingly streaming with reflective beads of flirtatiously caressing sunshine. Teary gems mark the prism-like points of their nearly lifelike eyes, whisps of light caught inside, swimming endlessly about. Topaz chunks of metallic gold trim the larger, yet submissively positioned 'lizard, her lofty wings traced with quality. You can easily distinguish every, minuscule vein upon the queen's dipping 'air oars,' and her poky talons of prickling ebony seem to bristle with the cockiness of prime royalty. Ironically, the second, miniature form is of an electric cerulean. A blue curled with a queen? Nonetheless, such a scene of paired love seems to touch your heart. The scrawny, lithe male's wings are arched almost comically, his ridged snout crooked in a nuzzling position, gentle forepaws clutching about the elongate neck of his gorgeous prize. Both tails are swirled about their respective owners, and the embracing couple seem to be almost hugging, but not quite. There are small compartments on the undersides of each of the flitters' sleek bellies. Each opening is firmly lidded with a secretive hook. Inside, there are two shelves: one to accommodate the crackling embers of a humble fire and one to sprinkle the remains of fragrant herbs and flowers upon. (It's like a BBQ grill. ^_^;) You see, the smoke from the fire would lightly roast the herbs, producing a delicious scent. The entrancing, natural perfume would in turn, waft out of the tummy chamber from a little tunnel that would open at both the 'lizard's nostrils. Such a sweet device with an artistic shell as well, this air freshener and beautifying side-piece is certainly a lovely addition to any room or dwelling. (Sorry about such a long description! I hope you like this one a lot! ^_^ I made this a container, so you can put the ingredients for the potpourri inside. :D)

Jade Braid Clip
This appears to be a family heirloom, and a precious thing to be given up. A green dragon dances the skies, etched in jade, while a gilt sun frames her magnificent flight. It's a nice piece that goes with almost all clothing.

Kidlet Dress
A short sleeved shirt of white linen with a simple, round collar rests under the over dress, showing the slight rippling pattern embroidered upon the cuffs of the short sleeves. Wide straps hold up the shift, which is shirred at the waist to provide a fuller skirt that hangs in a myriad of waves that just beg to be twirled to flow outward. Gold and Green firelizards decorate the chest of the dress, embroidered in a sunny yellow and brilliant jade, their eyes tiny opals that have been sewn on to give a realistic effect. The skirt falls to knee level, with smaller 'lizards of the same color ringing the slightly pleated hem.

Kylorin Love-me Love-me Doll / Personal Target Dummy
Yes, it's hastily constructed from clothes K'den was forced to wear by his older, mean, mean brother. Filled with straw, grass, pebbles, and anything else K'den could scoop up into sackcloth at a moment's notice, the crude dummy wears some rather expensive looking clothes.. Puce intermingling with a color that might one day be deemed as 'roadblock orange', chaotic patterns and colorblind mismatched combinations positively ruin what could otherwise be a dashing outfit, hanging off of the impromptu scarecrow's frame. The face is smeared on hastily with more black ink, the dummy wearing a goofy, smug-looking grin that almost begs you to either adore him down to the purple-polka dotted skivvies, or beat him up on the spot. This of course, depends on the viewer's choice.

Mud Armor
Made from mud, sticks, and grass, this armor is anything but impermeable. The dried mud shows cracks and weaknesses, some thinner chunks threatening to break off. The helmet was molded to a small head, where it hardened into a hat, which soon became part of the curious ensemble. The body armor looks as if it was padded around a kidlet's arms, legs, and chest, and then gingerly severed with a knife. Holes were then bored into the edges, allowing hide to be laced through the delicate pieces. This image is completed with a muddy sword, sized for one smaller than the average ten-turn old. The scabbard is decorated with shiny stones, put in place by several of the younguns. It's the very picture of a novelty item.

Myriad of Ribbons
A myriad of colourful ribbons is held together by one plain blue one. Each of the others is unique. The spectrum of a rainbow is contained within each silk length. Some are embroidered with tiny flowers, others are dyed several hues. Each is a tiny work of art in it's own right. Useful for decorating hair, clothing or perhaps tied around the halter of a runner or the straps of a dragon.

Nature's Reminder Pendant
Thin twigs dyed rich colors of purple and red are woven to form a delicate wreath about the pendant, consisting of the soft inner-split of wherry hide stretched out and fastened to points on the wreath. The tan surface holds the crest of a firelizard, done in thick, expressive strokes of black ink, the sketched face emanating wicked delight at some misdeed. The pendant hangs on a simple vine cord, to be worn by those whom always need reminding.. Keep the little demons in check or they'll be deadweight about your neck.

Pet Rock
A lopsided, dull gray stone that had at one point, been painted with various dyes to resemble a child’s pet. Large, googly eyes stare up at you, the pleading, warm brown puppy eyes that are oh-so hard to resist and then from there? Well, it's pretty much indecipherable but, a child’s most prized possession none the less.

Plain Sack
Well, it's really not all that plain, after all, if you look at it closely. Canines are stitched into its rich blue cloth, but they're the same color, making it difficult to see them. It's bound with a plain cord.

Pot of Purple Ink
At first, the small clear glass vial appears to contain some odd drink, perhaps very potent. Or perhaps it's some weird herbal medicine. Or even poison. But the sloshing dark fluid is really something far more common, and far less exciting. Nearly filling the entire triangular-prism shaped container, capped with a black stone, is a liquid of the most peculiar color. Bright, the liquid a perfect tone between red and blue, a color so unnatural it's startling and one would wonder where to find it, except perhaps in a model sunset. One might also wonder why someone would write in such a color...

Riding Tack
Deep brown leather has been shined to a high buff, the leather almost glowing with a gold sheen.  The pommel on the saddle has an intricate pattern slightly etched into the leather and this is echoed on the saddlebags.  An intricate, twisting knot that turns in upon itself and wraps around and around.  With the saddle is a red blanket that is quite bright but matches the leathers quite well. Looped over the pommel are the matching reins to complete the set, the long lines have a simplified version of the pattern etched along their length.

Runnerbeast Oil Pot
What an odd concept, to contain oil for firelizards and dragons in a pot etched with runners. After all, dragons eat runnerbeasts, and firelizards sometimes annoy them. Yet the galloping herds swirl their silver dust up on this somewhat tarnished old pot. It has to be quite old to be so tarnished, though it could easily be cleaned up. If one looked closely enough, one might notice a great draconic form looming above the stampeding herd of runners. Again, this makes for an odd--but interesting--motif. It might just be worth fixing up.

Silver Runner Necklace
Frosted silvery-white chain loops in tiny, delicate links, glittering with modest taste under light. Woven into the metal necklace are several small, finely cut quartzes, utterly clear save for the glassy sparkles of greens, blues, reds, and oranges. The necklace is purposely small to affect the silver-edged pendant against its wearer's skin, rather than have it hidden by clothing. Carved out of smooth, shiny opal is the silhouette of a galloping runnerbeast, tail and wisps of a man flailing behind it in the wind. Just like the quartz stones, even a minute amount of like causes the little creature to spring to life with metallic shades of primroses, powder blues, sea greens, and grapes.

Silver Shell Necklace
This necklace is just large enough to fit a slender woman's neck, more like a choker then anything else. Small beads of silver are delicately strung on a wire, highly polished to catch the light and draw attention to its wearer. Through out the silver beads are strung shells of different sizes and color. A flash of soft coral pink here and then a soft gray there, so many that your eyes have a hard time focusing on just one, they are all so lovely.

Song & Dance Instructions
This scrap of hide has obviously seen better times, wrinkled and bent as it is. Scrawled out upon the surface in very neat print are song lyrics, and a set of instructions.

Speshulist Flitter Treats
(Oh, yummy! Well, not for you, but for the 'lizards, keke. You can make /much/ larger batches for your dragons, if you want to take the time! ^_^) Plump, temptingly blistered burgundy slabs of juicy flesh remain secretly balled up inside fatty enclosures of crumbly sweetbread, a bit like egg rolls. Various spices season the compacted meat, adding a tasty, pleasant zing to these round spheres of bite-sized smackables. The raw carrion implanted inside such fluffy wheat is of an extremely wide diversity: wherry, spider claw, these glorious spheres are even laced with tendons of elusive runner, but not too much. All in all, everything looks great, and it's even freshly sealed in preserving wraps of tanned hide. Attached to the hide, there is a discreet tag, where some rather childish print is scrawled: 'I hope your flits will like my recipe! Hide it from the coyotes in your swarm.' Mmmm, good smell! Tied securely to the concealing pelt, a much tidier section of hide gives away the vital secrets to reproduce these lavish lumps. (You can make your own recipe for these treats! I thought this might be creative for you. Hope ya haven't died reading this!)

Star Box.
A simple box, carved out of a piece of Fortian hardwood, in the shape of a star. The 5-point lid has been brushed with a light yellow-orange paint, the texture from the carving tools casting shadows and adding depth to the plainly colored lid. The bottom portion has been carefully carved to sit flat, the wood painted slightly darker then the lid. Upon opening the box, a thin lip runs around the bottom side of the lid, designed to sit in the hollowed out portion of the bottom and keep the lid from sliding around. Painted a deep, midnight blue, the inside bottom of the box has been carefully padded with a dyed ovine wool, to prevent any contents from being ruined.

Star Net Necklace
This gossamer, circular net is pulled over the head and worn as a collar or necklace. Its lacy, woven design is entirely new, created by a slightly eccentric jeweler. Worked into the slim rope are at least forty tiny, glittering jewels, each too small to have any value, but all together forming the winking stars in this threaded onyx sky. There appears to be no seaming, no ties to hold the piece together; only a continuous, flat ring that seems to symbolize the frozen eternity of the stars.

Steel Hilted Sword
A shining slivery sword with a steel hilt. The hilt has been rapped in black leather leaving only room for the shinning green jewel in the center. The sword is about three feet long and glitters in the sunlight.

Stuffed Wherry
It /used/ to be glorious. That is, if a full-sized stuffed wherry ever was glorious. Now, the feathers are a bit mottled and askew, and the right wing wiggles a bit. But it's mounted beautifully on a carved wooden stand, posed in regal wherry splendor - mouth open, wings spread, the perfect accent for any decor

Sweetstick Sculpture
Dripping with the sticky sweetness of a sweetstick. Which happens to be the glue of this project, holding the sweetsticks together. It is comprised of 8 different flavors, stuck together end on end to create a colorful rainbow blob of sorts. To complete this lovely sculpture the artist has seemingly stuck pieces of cloth, metal, small stones and other odds and ends on it to create a display of things for one to look at and examine.

Thing-O'-Mabob
What nightmare created this object, this lump of a horror which pains the eyes to see? A metal ball it is, with studs of multicolored glass protruding from it in odd, swirling patters, leaking down the sides. A handle of well-worn and polished wood extends to the floor, making the bauble seem scepter-like and regal, if not for the rather unstately multi-hued bulging head. At its base is something different altogether--a cat o' nine tails of soft, pastel ribbons erupts from the staff's bottom, fanning out and catching wind, movements, with happy-go-lucky delight. Cheerful, bright: the sight for sore eyes, but a marvel for roaming hands.

Xanadu Box
This small trinket box has been very carefully designed out of a single piece of driftwood found on the shores of Xanadu Hold. Carved with exquisite detail, this box is obviously made as a tribute to the hold, hall, and weyr. It was crafted in such a way as to give the impression of depth and a touch of realism. The hinged lid has a beautiful design of the Xanadu Hold herald set in the center with a wavelike pattern creating the surrounding border. On the front is found a breathtaking ocean view of the hold and beaches, to one side you discover a view of the Crafthalls found in the hold and on the other a spectacular aerial view of the weyr. On the back is a complicated design reflecting not only the Xanadu pattern, but also interlocking the badges of the various crafthalls that reside within the hold. The box is a light tan in color, with darker almost bronze shaded borders. It is the perfect size for keepsakes, jewelry, or other mementos. On the bottom of the box is a small yet gracefully carved A, the signature mark of the crafter Aryion.
