South East Anime is a small but fun-minded group of anime fans, who get together in each other's homes, watch anime, lan, talk about merchandising and manga, look at the works of manga artists and doujins, and generally have a good time. There is generally a theme each time -- it's not just about watching shows. We meet at different places, especially where there's something to do or learn. Often enough, we'll end up talking about something relevant to anime fans, like who the best subtitlers are, or what a particular writer or director did in their career.
The next SEA gathering is on Saturday 28th of March 2009, 1pm to 5pm, at 1470 North Road, Clayton. Although the screening starts at one, there will be a ritual burning of stuff on the barbeque for lunch, from 12 noon. BYO everything but tongs and bread.
