Optimus Prime is one of the most well-known and beloved characters within the legacy of the Transformers and their universe. He is the Commander-In-Chief of the Autobot forces and the bearer of the Autobot Matrix of Leadership/Creation Matrix, possessing the heart of a warrior and a soul of wise and gentle sage.
Formally known as Orion Pax. Optimus Prime's orginal name had been translated from its Latin form as to mean "Hunter of Peace" or "Peace Hunter". The course of his life has set him on a course of almost endless warfare against the dreaded Decepticon armies. Yet, he retains an inward spirit which fervently strives towards the age he can lay hold to the treasure a younger mechanoid first sought.
