London - Western Residential
Dense buildings and super sized homes are scattered throughout the entire Western Residential district. Quaint little stores decorate city corners, still run by mom and pop (although in many cases both of which are Reploids). Massive trees stand at each block, lending shade against the blinding sun from above as well as giving the entire area a much warmer sense to it, giving some escape from the technological marvels all around.
Within a small park away from where Twila has opted to stay for the time being since taking her leave from the Hunters mothers with young childern, elderly folk, and others can be seen spaced out within the area.
The ex-Hunter occasionally glances towards the playground and swings...watching some of the patrons at play...while she allows Kyo on one of her romps.
Radar Meerkat comes wandering down the street unhappily, smoking a cigarette. It's probably his 80th cigarette of the day, but who's counting? Certainly not him...he's just trying to calm down. He hasn't been this upset in a long time. Heading for a nearby park, he decides that this would be a perfect place to unwind. At the gate, he respectfully crushes out his cigarette before heading inside.
Radar Meerkat
===============================================================================
Here is a petite, catlike reploid, rather slim and unassuming to say the least. He stands about 5'6", and has a slim-to-average build, even with his armor. His face and body are covered with a soft, creme-colored fur, with white highlights surrounding his snout and ears. His eyes, without a doubt, are his most dramatic facial feature. They are large, innocent and brown, surrounded by dark fur to make them seem even larger. He wears a pair of clear prescription goggles, strapped onto his face geek-style so they don't slip off.
Radar wears a camo-green, sleeveless hunting vest, which is covered with myriad pockets and zippers to carry many small items. He also wears a clean white undershirt, and camo-green utility pants (also with many zippers and pockets). He wears a Repliforce-issue cadet cap backwards, and the Repliforce insignia itself seems to have a black circle drawn around it, with a line cutting straight through. Slung across his left shoulder is a black backpack, and around his slim waist is a utility belt.

Kyo-Ohki mips and mews happily, not really aware of the situation she, her owner, or the purple-haired reploid that had come with them are in. She's basically content and happy enough as long as she's able to be with her owner. However the cabbit does miss, Puff, her best friend, already. She pauses to flop her ears up and down as if they were wings and glances eagerly towards her mistress.
The young woman shakes her head. "I'm sorry, Kyo. I haven't heard from Rick yet. Maybe when we see him...he can bring Puff to play ok?"
The cabbit seems fine with this and rolls herself playfully in the grass.
Leaving Twi to wonder. Is Rick going to be upset with her too?
Radar Meerkat looks around...he's in luck, the park is mostly deserted, save for a human female and her pet companion. This is fine with him; he can't stand crowds, but a few here and there he can at least tolerate.
Walking along the path, he locates a nice bench, and sits down. Maybe the peaceful ambiance of the park will set his mind at ease. At the moment...he feels like a failure. All of his missions have gone -well-, up until last night, which was a dismal failure. And he's trying not to take it to heart.
Kyo-Ohki continues rolling into the grass while Twila is left in thought. Sometimes it only takes a moment of looking away for Kyo to get herself into some mischief. She rolls underneath some bushes and comes out the otherside...right underneath the bench where the reploid is sitting. Sitting herself up she mips and trots over to his ankle, curious...and begins sniffing. "Miff?"
Radar Meerkat looks down at Kyo, and can't help but smile, even though inside he's beginning to feel as if a good cry is in order. "Oh, hello there sweetie," he says good-naturedly. "I usually bring Cheetos, but I don't have anything for you today."
The cabbit allows one one ear to flop down comicially whily the other stands straight of it's own accord. She blinks and trots out more into the open greets with a "Mipmip meeeeeeeeew!" Sure the reploid smells a little funny too her...in about the same way alot of Mavericks and Masters do. But the smell isn't as strong. And, not really concernd of being confused by this...she pats the guy's leg with a paw. "Mip!"
Not long later a human voice is heard on the other side, "Kyo...where'd you get too?" Knew she should have left the leesh on her...
Radar Meerkat fishes around in his pocket, locating a button, and a long piece of string. "Oh, waitwaitwait...maybe I -do- have something after all! Not as good as a Cheeto, mind you, but it'll have to do," he remarks with a grin. After a bit of fanagling, he creates a frisky-cabbit toy, dangling the button on the string for Kyo to bat around if she wants to.
As Twila approaches, he cringes on the inside, feeling his synth-fur stand on end. But he's a good little actor, despite his revulsion. "She's no trouble at all, ma'am...in fact she's made my day a whole lot better. It hadn't been going so well up until this point."
The mechanimal always loves to induldge. With a "Mip!" she begins chasing after the button without pause...enjoying the game immensely. When Twila comes into view the cabbit beams her such an innocent smile...before trotting over to her, circling her once, then a second time, then going back to the game.
The young woman allows a small smile to form on her lips. "She has a certain talent for doing that. She's a great destresser," she offers, recalling just who has told her that in the past. She then glances back up to the stranger, finding that she recognizes him somewhat. "We've...meet before haven't we?"
Radar Meerkat suddenly looks a little bit uncomfortable. Was this one of the humans he tried to kidnap to slave on the Lunar Base? He just can't remember if he's seen this one before, and from where. They all pretty much look the same to him. "No, I don't believe so, ma'am, unless it was at a bus stop or teleporter, something like that." He continues dangling the button on the strong for Kyo. Dangle-dangle.
And thus, Kyo remains within her own little world...just her and the button. Ah...life is grand.
Hmmm....must have been somewhere else. Hard to say really. However, she does catch sight of the cap...as well as it's emblem. So, she knows she met him before. Her mind struggles to work on the "where", although personally she doesn't think it's all too important. "Sorry, must have been thinking of someone else. "Well, see you met Kyo-Ohki. I'm..." Twila's not an everyday name. So, must use something else. Perhaps...her birth name. "...Tabitha." Nice to meet you.
Since Radar isn't cookiing up a kidnapping or con-artist scheme at the moment, he decides to use his ordinary name. Not like it's enough to strike fear in the hearts of anyone, anyhow. "I'm Radar...pleased to meet you as well, Tabitha." He decides that this particular human is less repulsive than most. He hasn't developed the urge to chase her off, yet. And besides, he's taken a liking to her little cabbit-companion. Smiling, he keeps dangling the button-on-a-string in front of Kyo. "So what brings you out here? Does the little one here need a bit of exercise today?"
Radar Meerkat is in a nearby park, where Twila and her cabbit also happen to be spending time.
The young woman seats herself on the other end of the park bench so she doesn't feel as if she's intruding as much while Kyo continues in her game. The cabbit actually gets up on her hind legs to jump to get the button, only to fall down in the grass on her back...giggling! "Marf! Marf!"
"Yes, she wasn't able to get out much yesterday so...decided she needed some extra time out here. Was somewhat...hectic..." Twila responds, not planning on giving him too many extra details for obvious reasons.
Radar Meerkat gives Twila a sidelong glance. He doesn't have a good track record with humans getting THIS close to him. He's so used to pushing, kicking, or threatening them off of park and bus benches with a knife so that he can monopolize the whole seat. He doesn't feel like getting into it today, though...not with this one, or with anyone for that matter. Besides, if this human becomes offended and leaves, she'll take the delightful little cabbit with her. It's just one of those things he'll need to accept. With a nervous sigh, he looks back toward Kyo again, and gently reaches down to scritch her belly. "We all have days like that...boy, did I ever have one of those yesterday, let me tell you. I had a -plan-, I followed it to the letter, and still everything came out totally wrong, you know?"
Kyo release alot more giggles...enjoying the attention emmensly. Her paws reach up to gently bap the reploids fingers...trying to encourage him all the more. Tee-hee-hee! "Meeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeew!"
The young woman keeps from giggling herself, just grateful to see the little one so happy. But then, isn't Kyo always? Well...not really. For one...she HATES baths. But that's another story. "Hmmm, yeah. Sometimes that happens. You do all you feel you're supposed to do and all you know what to do...and things still happen to fall apart," she replies, speaking as if slightly from experiance.
Radar Meerkat adjusts his goggles, still keeping his focus upon Kyo. "I suppose -- or it's been a theory of mine, anyhow -- that luck comes and goes in waves. When it peaks, it falls once more in a predictable biorhythmic pattern."
"Sounds more to me like the ole 'hills and valleys' scenerio," Twila answers slowly, also watching the animal. She then says more to herself, than the reploid. "Things do get better. They usually do...although not always the way we want them too."
Kyo offers a "Mama!" before forgetting about the button for a moment, hops on Twila's lap, then shoulder, snugs her with a purr, hops back to the bench...then innocently hops to the Maverick and peers up into his face. "Mip?"
Radar Meerkat chuckles. "Can't forget Mama, can you, dearheart," he says to Kyo with a grin as he dangles the button-on-a-string playfully. Yes, the thought of picking up the cabbit and running -has- crossed his mind a few times, but he's fairly certain that no amount of reprogramming Commander Peacock could do on the adorable little creature could ever make her forgive him for the unthinkable deed. "Where did you -find- this little angel?" he asks Tabitha curiously.
Kyo-Ohki purs before starting in on the chase of the elusive button again and actually hops right into the reploid's lap in order to do it. Twila doesn't say anything since it happens to be helping his spirits at any rate. But she doesn keep a close eye on the two.
Besides, Kyo would have warned her if this wasn't someone she should be around would she? Kyo: Mama or Button, Mama or Button. For now...she takes the button unless the reploids decides to become agressive. She's funny that way.
"Tabitha" grins, but takes care to deleate any mention of the Repliforcer, Repliforcer scientists, or Rock from the answer. "A friend had her designed for me for me awhile back actually. Thought I needed some company. And Kyo's been a good companion."
Well, save for her knack of getting into trouble. But in that she's not really differnt from her owner.
Radar Meerkat chuckles. "Well your friend really had in mind what a good companion would be," he mentions, 'rewarding' Kyo by letting her bap the button around instead of teasing her by yanking it away. "I'd almost be willing to wager that she's a creation of Light Labs."
That's one thing Twila forgot to do...remove Kyo's colar as well as her tag...which would give indication of the owner and where she lives (or used to live). She silently chides herself and wonders idly if the reploid has seen it. She hopes not. But...can always be wrong. So, she does add a little more truthful detail. "Not Light Labs exactly. She was created by Repliforce scientists as a favor from someone at the labs, and lived there."
Twila chooses again not to comment on the emblem on the reploid's cap...not wanting to stir any muddy waters. "Ah, ok. What did you used to do there?"
Radar Meerkat doesn't seem to have a problem with this particular topic. In fact, he's in much better spirits -now- than when he first entered the park. "Communications, ma'am. I was in the Comm Division for a while."
"Hope your new line of work suits you well enough," Twila says carefully. And no, she still has no reason to believe that this character would kill her in an instant should he be ordered to do so. Of course, always best to play on the safe side anyway.
Kyo emits a lil sneeze before tumbling of the reploid's lap and landing on the surface of the bench...then hops over to Twila...begging to be picked up, which the human does loveingly. By her yawn the girl can see the animal has probably tired herself out by now. "Seems someone got her full run today it seems."
Radar Meerkat chuckles. "Looks like it. Well..." He hesitates a bit, obviously uncomfortable for some reason but it isn't apparent as to why. He's still pretty -sure- his mind is his own, even after the arduous infection process, but at times like these he wonders otherwise. There's certain feelings...certain impulses and thoughts, new to him and they never quite leave him alone. He wrestles with the urge to just pound Twila into the ground and abduct the cabbit. "It's been nice meeting you, ma'am, and thank you for the talk." The voice is polite, soft, cordial, and...in his mind, it seems to come from somewhere else entirely, because it certainly has nothing to do with the way he's feeling.
"Thank you as well. Been nice meeting you too," Twila response. She whispers something with the cabbit's ear just then.
Kyo blinks, emits another yawn, and turns about to offer a wave of a paw back towards the stranger. "Meimei!" she bids. Her wat of saying goodbye. She then draws back to relax against the human's shoulders to take a catnap.
Twila adds a, "Take care," as well, before turning to head abck out of the park...
Radar Meerkat smiles and waves. "Bye now!"
