Medical Bay <Hunter HQ>
Returning from her short break Twila returns to the medical bay quietly, she offers a nod towards Dawn then takes a look at the man's vitals. "Well, least his systems aren't really affected. Although, won't know how much this has affected him until...he awakens." She gets on the other side of the bed to pull the blanket below his chin.
Twila Peterson gently brushes the bangs from the man's forhead in concern, peering at him with a medic's eye, then pulls her hand back, noting to the reploid, "He's been like this ever sicne he was brought back."
Dawn hmms, and pulls out a chair to sit down next to the table. "Has he? Weird...any idea how to get him to wake up, or do we just have t'wait?"
Twila Peterson notes, "Best to wait is my guess. He'll emerge when he's able." She hopes. "I....long story. Just know that this was an especially hard blow on him."
Dawn nods once. "Dang straight he'll emerge. Don't wanna hear a word 'bout it any other way. You say it's a real blow to him though. Guess it's none of my business though. When he does wake up...bet he'll want a drink, right?"
Michael Eildath starts stirring, as though if on cue.
Twila Peterson nods towards the pitcher of water (recently filled) and the plastic cup beside on the bedtable the reploid might have missed. "More than likely." Upon movement, she directs her attention back downwards. "Mike, your back at base..."
Dawn amends Twila's last statement, "Or home. Your pick. Drink's right next to ya." She quickly pours some water into the cup, then asks, "Want a bit to eat with that, bro?"
Twila Peterson raises a hand, "Dawn...slow down...ok?"
Michael Eildath's head turns, slowly at first, the Hunter hearing voices that he still can't place. A million thoughts run through his head, and he groans slightly as he starts to awaken, not yet remembering what happened the day before.
The medic glances back down. "Mike...can you hear either of us, it's Twila and Dawn."
Dawn shrugs, "He's probably hungry. But 'lright. Water's probably a good start as any." Nodding to Mike, "Yeah bro, it's us. You ok?"
Twila would like to place the reploid into 'break' if she could. For goodness sakes, even she can tell the man's not coherant as of yet. "Dawn, I know you're being helpfull but please....slow down. Let him at least wake up and gain some bearings."
Michael Eildath winces, eyes watering as he tries to open them, the light in medbay blinding because of his long slumber. "Twila? Dawn?" He seems to recognize the voices, and he groans again, more in wakening grumpiness than in pain... at least for the moment.
Dawn mmm-hmms at Mike's query. "Yeah. It's us. You had a bit of a fall downtown earlier."
Twila Peterson nods towards affirmative to Mike. "As Dawn said, it's us. Take it easy. You've been under for quite awhile."
Michael Eildath winces again, and his eyes flicker open, pupils contracting quickly as they are exposed to the light. He looks around as he adjusts to the light, and groans. "I fell? What... what happened? Why am I in medbay?"
Twila Peterson nods in response. "Yes...you did.
Yesterday soon after the 'incident' you collasped. had us
worried."
Dawn gives one of those 'You explain it.' looks to Twila.
"Not really sure, but at least you're not hurt from the
fall, it seems. How do you feel?"
Michael Eildath ponders this, mind refusing to go to yesterday yet. "I feel..." He browses his mental index of comparisons. "I feel like the Wildcats just won tournament, and I got in trampled in the post-game party."
Twila dips her chin slightly, not surprised. "Feel up to drinking a little water? Might help your throat some."
Dawn nods, offering the cup to Mike for the taking. "Yeah. You've been out like, what, a day? Probably thirsty by now, bro. But...if you wanna make comparisons, there's a victory ahead in the future."
Michael Eildath shakes his head slowly, sitting up slightly and taking the cup. "Victory? What?" He groans, and drinks some.
Twila Peterson only hopes Dawn doesn't bring up yesterday's
events, if anything. But there's no way to communicate that to
her except for a slow shake of the head. Of course, that's given
that she was going to. Twila isn't a mindreader. "Just take
it easy, Mike, kay?"
Dawn replies to Mike, "Later. Not now. We'll tell ya later.
Like she said, just rest up a bit, 'lright bro?"
(Ch. A [Rock]) Twila Peterson transmits: 'Rock...thought you would want to know. Mike just woke up.'.
Michael Eildath nods, then takes another drink of his water trying to think back to yesterday's events. He got up, went shopping, ran into some guy and Twila, then...
(Ch. A [Hunter-Main]) Rock transmits: 'He's awake?! Good... I
will be right there.'.
(Ch. A [Rock]) Twila Peterson transmits: 'Kay. At the moment he
doesn't seem to remember yesterday. But...that may not last
long.'.
(Ch. A [Hunter-Main]) Rock transmits: '*a soft sigh* I should be
there. I am on my way.'.
Twila Peterson reaches over to shut down some of the monitors since...well, they're no longer needed. It's not long before she turns back around again. "That helping any?"
You send a tightbeam radio transmission to Rick Morgan: "Rick, Mike just woke up."
Rick Morgan sends you a tightbeam radio transmission: "How's he looking?"
You send a tightbeam radio transmission to Rick Morgan: "Doesn't seem to remember much of yesterday...but that could change."
Rick Morgan sends you a tightbeam radio transmission: "Wondeful..."
The doors to the med bay slowly open after a moment, with their soft swish swish sound... and through it steps the figure of Mega Man... clad in his full armor. He silently lets the door close behind him, reaching back and keying the lock without looking. His eyes are apon Mike now... concerned and understanding eyes. He walks over slowly, sparing a glance to the women before looking to Mike.
"Hey Mike, you are you feeling?"
Michael Eildath looks over at Rock, smiling wanly as he sips his water. "Heya, boss. I'm feeling okay... I think." He pauses, trying to rememebr.
Twila Peterson shifts her weight a little nervously, then lets out a tiny sigh, giving the time he needs. However, she does shoot Rock a glance of concern before refocusing back again. "Somewhat stift?" she ventures.
Dawn nods, rising from the chair now, and heading for the door. "Sorry to jet, but...feelin' a little out of it myself, folks."
Twila offers the other female a small wave. "Later, Dawn."
Rock pauses, looking to Mike with a slow nod, offering a warm smile. "Good Mike. Just take it easy. You have been through a lot... It will come back after a little bit more rest." Rock pauses, looking to Dawn and nods. "Take it easy, Dawn." Rock then slowly walks over to Mike's bed, leaning against the next one over as he looks to him
<Global News Network> You happen to be changing the channel when you come across a typical report on the evening news, "On the other side of the news, people from New England to San-Angeles were claiming to have seen a sight in the sky today that seems to defy all logical means of explaination. What appeared to be and was later confirmed as a huge christmas tree of all things, flying overhead across the entire united states, high in the air, has had people across the nation in awe of this spectacle and its significance during this time so close to the holidays. Witnesses who saw this with the naked eye and by radar have no idea how this tree could propel itself in the air on its own and stay aloft for such a long journey. Whoever was behind such an inspiring phenomenom has certainly brought back much of that magic the holiday spirit brings.....now onto the weather.'.
Rick Morgan sends you a tightbeam radio transmission: "Has he got his memory back?"
You send a tightbeam radio transmission to Rick Morgan: "As of yet, no."
Michael Eildath drinks slowly, tring to work out what's happened, sipping slowly. . o O (I saw Twila and that guy... they were in the store, and I was... was...) His brow furrows as he tries to remember... not knowing whether he wants to or not.
Twila Peterson questions the patient, "Feel as if you're stomache could hold something down?"
Michael Eildath blinks. "Yeah... I mean... I don't feel sick or anything." Snapped out of his thoughts, he blinks for a second before settling back to them.
(Ch. C [MH-RF]) General transmits: 'Maverick Hunters ... This
is the General of the Repliforce. Did you monitor the same
broadcast that we witnessed a short moment ago?'.
(Ch. C [Twila]) Rock transmits: 'I... did actualy. I am wondering
what to make of it. It doesnt seem likely that there would be a
/tree/ flying around for all the world to see. Strange...'.
(Ch. C [MH-RF]) General transmits: 'I have dispatched units to
check it out, Hunter Commander .. You may wish to do so
yurself.'.
(Ch. C [Twila]) Rock transmits: 'A good idea, Sir. I will send
out a few of my Hunters to scout about'.
Rock looks to Mike, nodind slowly as he simply crosses his arms over his chest. His eyes are concerned, and why shouldnt they be? Afterall... Mike has been through a lot... though Mike doesnt remember yet what exactly it was that he has been through. "Hmm... We can get you some nice food if you like. Anything more then water might do you good if you feel you can." Rock pauses... listening to a very strange message as it flashes back over GNN... pausing to communicate via Radio.
Twila Peterson dips her chin. While Rock answers the transmissions. She excuses herself a brief moment to heat up some soup for him and returns a few moments letter, placing it on the bed's table and moving the table into position for the man. "Chicken. Didn't think you would mind," she offers...then questions, "I hear right? A flying tree?"
Michael Eildath smirks. "Mmm... chicken." He eats the soup, blinking at the mention of a flying tree, still wandering in thought.
Twila Peterson uhs, "Around this time last year it was the Masters searching for a loud tree. Only at the time they choose the one on Time's Square."
Michael Eildath blinks. . o O (Robot Masters...)
Rock pauses... reaching up to stroke his jaw slowly... fingering the metal chin and throatguard. "... Riiight. It was, wasnt it? Strange." Rock then... pauses, his eyes opening wide. "... I wonder... it... /could/ be..."
Hmmmmm? "What?" the girl asks.
Rock shakes his head, pausing... "Only a guess... but a
very possible one. Besides... if they only took a tree from the
woods... we neednt worry to much." Rock looks up and to
Twila... "Well, If the Masters /do/ have that Stealth
Transport that was stolen..."
"Well, would make a bit of sense," Twila muses, letting
Mike obtain his fill. "I mean, all they would have to do is
tie the tree on top. No one would see anything but the main
cargo. I think I heard something in the report about it flying
over the U.S. But nothing else was said if the sighting led
elsewhere."
Michael Eildath eats a bit of soup, reaching again for his cup of water, mind racing. . o O (Robot Masters... something about Crash Man... no... it wasn't him. Dawn and somebody... Dawn and...) Mike's cup starts to shake in his hand, and the Hunter begins to shake, despite himself.
It's not especially hard to notice that Mike's not well. Even if he is physically, he's not enitrely otherwise. "Mike, take it easy and take it slow, alright?" she bids, as she steps closer to him.
The Blue Bomber nods, idly stroking his chin. "Whatever happened... no sense worrying about it now... as we wont be able to catch them or find any worthwhile traces. The Masters, if it is them, may just be out like you said, taking a Christmas tree. Unfortunatly... there is nothing illegal about going out into the middle of the woods and cutting down a tree..."
Twila Peterson agrees with Rock by nodding in kind. "Well...true. Least it's not from Times Square. Odd...them unintentially spreading about the season while doing so in this case."
Michael Eildath gasps, blocks falling togeter in his mind as yesterday's events unfold anew, and he drops his cup, the remaining water splattering on the floor. "... Bradley..."
Needless to say, Twila slightly jumps at the clattering plastic against the floor, and glances towards Rock a moment before refacing Mike. Since Rock is able to more sympathize than she can in a few ways perhaps it best if he respond first.
The Blue Bomber just paused there, pondering over everything and nodding to Twila as she speaks words he too is thinking. He then blinks, looking up swiftly to Michael, his eyes opening wide as he rises. Rock looks to concerned and sympathetic to him, slowly reaching foward to try and rest his hand on his shoulder... "I know Mike... It... will be allright. We will get Bradley back. Trust me. I have dealt with everything brother related twelve times over... rushing off after him wont help him..."
Michael Eildath shakes his head, drawing his knees up towards his chest. "But... why... why did he go off with Losstaret? Why'd he join that madman?"
Twila Peterson stoops over to retrieve the cup and places it back on the table. Thankfully, the contents were near empty when it's speilled. "To me anyway...he seemed as if right near a breaking point. He wanted some type of peace...and Losstaret promised that on the spot." Although, she ponders, at the moment Mike may not be searing for an answer...maybe merely expressing himself. Whatever the case may be moves over a places a hand on his other shoulder.
Rock just softly squeezes Mike's shoulder in his armored hand, "Losstaret is a Monster, Mike. I could almost think he has the ability to read minds... but he doesnt. He know how to manipulate and use people... and is trying to use your Brother to get what he wants. Dont blame your brother. It was Kaust... he did this." Rock shakes his head, then looks to Twila and sighs. "Losstaret does that... he almost succeeded in manipulating me before I saw through his
Michael Eildath just shakes his head. "How did he know? I never told anyone Brad was alive... no Robot Master knew, no Repliforcers, no Mavericks... I didn't even tell most of you guys. Brad never let on either... I mean... we didn't exactly have the most sterling relationship, but we knew it was dangerous if people found out about us."
The Blue Bomber looks to Twila, his eyes pained, before looking back down to Mike, speaking softly... "It's Kaust... he has some strange powers. He is a Cyborg with some amazing add ons. It seems he can Teleport like Sigma and Blues... he can fly... and he can somehow gain information you thought hidden by just looking at your face. It's... I dont know. I have read his files with the UN Intelligence division a hundred times, and they barely know as much as we do. We will get him back, Mike. Kaust wont win... and I spoke to him... via radio... he said many things. But he wont hurt your brother or mess with his mind or anything unless he doesnt get what he wants."
"Mike, when Lossarent came to the labs once, he tried to get at Sem's weak pionts, then mind. He then included Rick. But he flubbed up by stating Rick and I were responsible for what happened with our," at this she sighs, "parents. He knew just enough to manipulate us and get us upset. But he slipped at that one point since he thought Rick and I were...well...together all that time. He takes enough truth and mixes with his lies so you can't tell the differnce, until he states what he doesn't know." She then adds, "I could be Brad will cath him in that."
Michael Eildath nods idly thenlooks over at Rock. "What does he want, then?"
Rock closes his eyes slowly, giving a slow sigh as he listens to Twila's words. Rock's free hand clenches into a fist at his side... Kaust inspires in him Hate enough to rival what he feels for Bass... and Rock slowly releases his hold on his own hand, opening his eyes and looks to Mike. "Some of Dr. Light's technology. The technology to place a human brain into a Reploid neural net, the data whole and uncorrupted. Dr. Light and Dr. Wily were the first to experiment with it a long time ago, and I think Dr. Wily gave up his research... but Dr. Light has advanced a good deal. He wants the technology... the same thing that DeVry wanted as well." Rock only shakes his head. "I spoke with him a good deal... and if we give him half the information... he will let you speak to your brother... the second half he said he would return him and leave me and all of my friends and family alone."
.oO(Friends and family left alone? How well can someone trust a liar?)Oo. Twila thinks but doesn't say. She stands to the side now, hand still on Mike's shoulder, listening.
Michael Eildath hrms. "But... we can't just give him that kind of information."
<Global News Network> Late breaking news report from jolly old London, England. Details are sketchy at this moment, however it has been reported that a disturbance has occurred at the corporate laboratory of Enercom Inc. A manufacturer of power grids and energy systems used in both robotic designs, and as portable energy storage products for mobile operations. It is believed a lone individual has gained access to one of the higher floors forcefully, and has made his way further in, causing chaos in the process. It is unclear as to what his main target may be, nor as to casualties or projected damage from the attack itself. More details as reports come forward from the authorities.'.
Rock gives a soft sigh... "I know, Mike... I know... We will figure out what to do. We have time. I got Kaust to give us some. Just rest here, all right? No matter how much you want to... if you go running off after your brother you will only manage to get you both killed." Rock sighs... shaking his head... then he pauses... hearing a report over the GNN emergency broadcasts... "... Work never lets you alone..."
Michael Eildath nods. "Right... right boss." He closes his eyes, and has blatantly murderous thoughts concerning Kaust. Good thing nobody here's a mindreader.
Twila Peterson turns her head slighlty as something comes over the news broadband and narrows her eyes a little? Portaible energy products? "Certainly doesn't sound like one of the elves," she mumbles.
(Ch. C []) Twila Peterson transmits: 'Repliforce, you recieve
that news bit?'.
(Ch. C [Twila]) Rock transmits: 'Repliforcers?'.
(Ch. C [Broadband]) Sentinel transmits: 'We heard it.'.
(Ch. C [Twila]) Rock transmits: 'Good. I am in route,
personally.'.
(Ch. C [Broadband]) Sentinel transmits: '...Thank you.'.
(Ch. C []) Storm Owl transmits: 'I am in the area and may be able
to offer assistance if it is required.'.
Twila Peterson questions, "Should I go...or stay?" There may be some workers there needing medical aid."
The Blue Bomber slowly nods... "That's true..." Rock looks to Twila. "I will go check this out, Twi..." Rock then looks to Mike, offering a comforting smile. "Just rest, Mike... when you are ready... we will get your brother back. I promise. And you and I /both/ will deal with Losstaret and whoever stands between us and getting your brother back." Rock then pauses, looking to Twila... "It might be dangerous, Twila... There might be some people who need medical attenton at that, however..." Rock only sighs, shaking his head...
Michael Eildath shakes his head. "I'll be fine here... I think I wanna climb down to my room and just pass out again."
(Ch. A [Hunter-Main]) Rock transmits: 'Hmm... It may be good to have someone stay with Mike... if only to make sure he gets to sleep once more. If he decides to run off... I can't stop him... but we should try and make sure he doesn't kill himself trying to save his brother'.
Twila offers Rock a glance towards the transmission, her features set "unreadable". She really doesn't like the fact she's kept away most of the time because it might be dangerous. Even Rick's not as overprotective, at least by her views. She's not happy about it, but he is the commander, and she's not about to make a scene in front of an audiance. "I'll stay here an monitor than. Call if you need me, alright?" she asks. To Mike: "Mind if I play escort to your room?"
Michael Eildath nods. "Sure."
Rock nods to Twila, knowing he may just catch the rough side of her tongue later from the look on her face. Rock's features fall slightly... knowing why her features look like that... then they harden to 'Business' as he looks to Mike. "Take it easy, Mike." Rock then looks to Twila, offering a nod. "I will, Twi... I promise." He slowly steps back towards the doors after he speaks those words
Twila Peterson nods in like towards Rock then steps over towards the Hunter. "Need anything else from here?" she asks Mike. She was at least going to give him a quick hug and kiss...but the business mode somewhat...well...tossed that idea aside. His "ready to rumble" always that effect. Nonetheless she raises a hand towards Rock in a small wave and bids, "Godspeed."
Rock pauses slightly, looking to Twila, then nods, his face softening. "Thank you..." Rock then turns, heaving for the door, keying the lock off as he departs slowly. He raises his head slightly, giving a whistle to the open air... and soon enough he has his two animal companions at his side as he heads for London.
(Ch. A [Hunter-Main]) Rock transmits: 'I love you... Dont
worry...'.
(Ch. A [Rock]) Twila Peterson transmits: 'I...love you too,
Rock.'.
(Ch. A [Hunter-Main]) Rock transmits: 'I will be home soon'.
(Ch. A [Rock]) Twila Peterson transmits: 'Rock, your definition
of 'soon' sometimes spans 5 hours.'.
(Ch. A [Hunter-Main]) Rock transmits: '*a chuckle* Better... *
